You need to call Jerry or Wayne at LET they will explain process to you better and if there is any new methods...but the normal way is to ship your ECU to them and they will Tune it and overnight it back. As for 185mm pulley and heatexchanger ask them they will tell you how to aquire them...

most of the LET tunes are done by mail anyways, so i dont think it would make much of a difference, except maybe he could give you a slightly more aggressive tune since you guys have slightly higher octane gas available to you.
if you know a shop in the uk that can upload mercedes fuel maps, jerry can just email your tuner the fuel map as well..if you dont want to ship your ecu overseas.

Once you get it back you can throw your car on a dyno and get some air/Fuel ratios. If they are off you can send it back to Jerry with the dyno graphs and he will adjust as necessary.
Jerry is great about all this and will re-tune you at anytime with no hassels whatsoever. He wants to make sure you are happy with your tune.
With the 185 and the tune I am SURE you will be happy, the power is amazing. Just find a place to get tyres at a discount as they will go very fast.
Good luck!

[quote=Gramma_Benz;3462484]First thing you would do is get the 185 and have it installed, send out your ECU to Jerry, tell him all your mods and he will give it a "Stock " tune.

I advice you to buy a wide band like LM-1 to get your A/F readings before you send your ECU overseas so you can read the A/F before and after the tune, so if your ECU did not work well the first time, then you can be sure that the second time you will be done. Cause I live in Lebanon, i bough LET 185 pulley kit and Jerry tune, now my ECU is on his way to Jerry for the third time, after the second time i bought the LM-1 and found that my A/F is high 15 from 5200 to 6200, every time i pay 180$ for shipping to USA and back, and leaving the car in the garage for 3 weeks, i bough the kit from 3 -4 months and till now i didn't finish and i didn't see the result.
So now i am praying all the day to get done with my ECU this time (third time).

As mentioned on the phone, we can ship you the tuning kit to avoid the back-and-forth, but you declined this service.

Go to there website :www.letmotorsports.com and read about the tuning kit rental.
#Kit-Rental
Our remote tuning kit is now available to the public! We send you all the tools needed to tune your car on the dyno, at home, or the office! We do the tuning via remote access to the included laptop, so an internet connection is required (Wireless or Wired).
No tuning experience needed. If you can operate an OBDII code reader, then you can use this kit.
The kit rental does not include a software flash, so new customers will need to purchase a tune as well.
* a $2000 deposit is required and will be refunded once the kit is received back in the same condition. * additional $100 per hour rate charged for dyno tuning

To the OP. I live in Germany. Jerry did my tune via mail. The turn around time was about a week to a week and a half. It kicks a$$.

Hi guys,
I'm thinking of going down the above path with my C32 as I live in Sydney. I feel there's a bit more power yet and more so the power isn't being distributed how it should.
I only have a C3 Pulley & Intake & IC30 at this stage and I'm not sure if it's worth the tune without a 185? I don't really want to go down the 185 path at this stage but I have a feeling the tune is really more suited to those cars with it?

I went and got myself an innovate LM-2 a/f reader and also software and equipment to upload the software into the ecu. Since my car was a daily, i couldn't have it sit for 2 weeks. I did all of my custom tunes during the coldest days of winter(luckily it never gets below 0 C ), i think it took abut 5-6 custom tunes to get it right. I have a bung welded pre-cat to get the a/f readings so it should be pretty accurate. I could actually feel the difference in different tunes. These are real world tunes and imo is the best way to tune your car.
I start the a/f recording in idle and bring her through 3rd gear. ( hitting fourth)
at the end of 3rd, the speed is already over 100 mph. I can confirm that 5200-6000 is where our cars will lean out on a "can" tune. I can also confirm that hitting WOT does not lean out the car. The leaning happens only on 3rd gear 5200~6000rpm. no leaning what so ever on 1st and 2nd. I couldn't find myself a long stretch of closed road to go through 4th or 5th. I did hit 150mph on a different occasion and the afr still alright.
