I DON'T COME HERE ANYMORE
I think you're adding a lot of weight/rotaional mass and slowing down the car, and increasing your braking distance.....

I've seen one C55 with 20s on it.... Although it may look nice, your car will never feel the same...

Stay 18-19 inch

not to mention feeling every single bump on the road, substantially slower, higher tire cost and you're gonna get a lot of dents in your rim.

19's ride hard enuf as it is.

TOTAL B.S. you really don't know what you are talking about. 20" tires for a W203 cost LESS than the normal 235/35/19 265/30/19 set up.

"dents in your rim" ..... if you don't know what you are talking about, please don't post nonsense.

I've equipped MANY W203's with 20" rims, MANY of which are members of this board AND the other board. True, you need to run stretch tires, but you do NOT feel every bump on the road.

The only thing you lose would be a little on the performance side, however, you do get a lot of points on the "wow factor."

anybody need more info, feel free to PM or email me.

Nothing like adding "wow" to an AMG and taking a "little" performance away.....
I think that Gramma was pointing out that a 20" rim will transfer for road bumps to the cabin then a 19 or even 18" tire-I'd be curious to see what 20" set up costs less then a stock set up...remember-some of us spend decent money on tires for the track

Well,

I am really interested of buying the rims below for my C55

As some of you guys might know, I tuned my car at Vath & I now have a 5.8l making 440hp so I guess it's a company I can trust

However, the rims shown above are only available in 20 " and they are telling they will modify the C55 wheel archs & that there will be no rubbing (2 days of work and around EUR 900) Do you guys think I can trust them or I will have headheacks with 20s?

Reading your comments above 20 doesn't seems like a good idea...

Thanks in advance

white and whiter
anytime you have stretched tires the sidewall becomes very stiff because it looses the ability to bend and absorb impact. instead of having the side wall doing ) it is doing /.

the tires are usually cheaper tho for whatever reasons.

People should stick to stock wheels if they don't intend to lower their car with aftermarket wheels IMO. If you are spending that much on LMs, why not do it right and go all the way.

I saw a black c230 with 20's and it looked awsome lowered. Search some of my old post and you'll find it. I just put 19's on my car and I love them, but I wish I could have went 20's...just didn't have the ***** enough to try it.
