Are they the same? If not are the C320 rotors the same as the C32? I bought a set of F/R EBC rotors but an email by them states they don't have any for the C32. But there is a rotor F/R for the SLK32 but different part number than I have...help please I may have to send them back and if so I would like to tomorrow.

i cant speak for the c32 but my slk32 has larger ventilated rotors front and vented rotors rear. the slk320 does not. so i wouild assume the c32 has diff rotors than the c320
also the slk32 rotor front is a 300 mm rotor and i beleive the c32 rotor is a 345 mm rotor

yeah the rotors on the c320 are smaller then the c32.

I think 2005+ C320's with the sport package have the same front brakes as the C32 - anyone know for sure?

You probably meant the 05+ C350. There's no 05+ C320.

Correct - my mistake. Thought I'd heard some of the "regular" MB w203's with the sport package have the same front brakes as the C32 and C55 - just have a "Mercedes Benz" sticker instead of the "AMG" one

05+ C350 Sports have 345mm front rotors which is the same with C32.

they're slightly thinner than the 32/55 front rotors. it's been confirmed and talked about in the other thread. should be in the 203 forum.

The C320 has the same rear vented rotor as the C32/55.

The SLK32 does not share rotors with the 32/55.

Last December, I bought a pair of OEM drilled front rotors for my C32 from ALLOEMAUTOPARTS.COM

Service was great. Delivery was only two days and that was from Cali to KY during X-mas shopping rush. I was very pleased with fit and quality.

Were there any lightweight, aftermarket C32 front and rear rotor options which you found that were not thousands of dollars?

racing brakes' replacement two piece rotors for the C32/55 about $400 ish a piece. that's the best bang for the buck if you want to lighten up the unsprung weight imo.

Nice, but I am going to have a hard sell to convince my wife that $900 for two front rotors is a good deal. . .

Looking at autopartwarehouse.com, it looks like they have Centric, Zimmerman, Pilenga, and OES rotors for the C32. Anyone know if one of these brands is lighter than the others? Any opinions on quality differences among the brands?

those should all be around the same weight i think. zimmerman might be lighter, but don't know for fact.

if you arent tracking your car theres really no need for slotted rotors. they only cut the life of your pads. drilled are fine as they promote cooling which is good for daily driving.

The Front rotors that I purchased were Zimmermann and were 100% identical to the OEM rotors including the cross drilled holes. The OEM rotors are very heavy. But that is because it is a really large brake rotor. I doubt that you will save much weight even with the tricked out units unless they are thinner.

I used Zimmermann on my older C36 a few years ago and had good results.

They look pretty good. I called "Oden" at OCAutosports to get more info. I was curious about the stated weight (for all four rotors) of "53.0" (pounds, presumably). This stated weight is not correct. These rotors are roughly the stock weight (26-27 fronts, 16 rears). Not sure how these rotors would compare to a more known brand name, like the Zimmermans. Ideas anyone?

I think that is the idea behind the "two piece" rotors. Basically, two thin discs are sandwiched on to a center metal honeycomb structure (as opposed to just having a 32 mm wide round slab of solid steel). The net result of the two-piece design is a loss of 7 pounds or so per front rotor.

I do agree, however, that it seems that the one-piece designs are all going to be about the same weight, unless someone out there is using a lighter alloy in their one-piece rotor?

These guys are located about 5 blocks from my old office. Too bad I don't work there any more. I could have swung by at lunchtime and give them a look-see.

Ummm....drilled are harder on pads then slotted-both are for cooling and letting gas escape-drilled have a great tendancy to crack under hard braking-hence most swap to slotted rather then drilled.....
