C32 AMG, Sti, FIT
Oil consumption?
Services A in 6200 miles, and it said add 1qt oil. Is this normal or?
Please opinions for a newbie........thanks

I DON'T COME HERE ANYMORE
Just means you're a bit low-obvisously-"normal" probably-maybe check for any noticable drips/seeps, ect (post pics if there is cottage cheese in the engine )

Not sure about the C32 but my tech told me recently that MB considers abnormal anything more than 1 qt per 666 miles.

check your valve covers by the intake manifolds. the bolts get loose over time and leak a little oil. i just re-tighten them and my oil leak was gone.

Temjin is correct about the valve cover leaks. Very common problem with the old design. Supposedly fixed on the 63 series engines.

External oil leak isn't the only path for oil loss. Check your compression. I ended up with a bent rod (C55) that left the piston slightly cocked in the bore. It made the bore slightly oval with wear and eventually led to high oil use.

Unless you went swimming with the car, I definitely wouldn't be expecting that.
