Well if anyone wants an OEM pump, I have 2 sitting in a box of spare parts. That is how many spares I kept on hand when running the stock pump and is how little I trusted them.

Johnson Pumps
Anyway, his factory pump went bad and he got a new Johnson 30 and it has worked marvelously (his words) with no problem and no failures for over 50 K miles. Its his daily driver, not a trailer queen. The factory one went out in about 20 K miles. I have not heard of a single problem or failure from the Johnson pumps and some guys on the forum have been running them for years!! Correct me if I am wrong since I am having Jake do mine with a Johnson this next week.

Interesting thread. I'd hazard a guess that most upgrade the HE and change the pump at the same time - muddying the waters for what's truly causing the IAT improvements. My money's *mostly* on the HE... but a well-matched pump could help incrementally I'd think.
That said, I agree with the others that my CM30 has performed reliably over the last year that it's been installed. The stock pump was bad when I bought the car, and it only had 19k miles on it at the time - making me think the IC pump is one of those parts that likes to be run... if it sits for long periods, it'll fail faster I'd bet... more so a problem with the OEM unit, it seems.

fwiw there are many indepth threads on crossfire.org regarding the high flow pumps and ic leaks. to date there isnt a single definative proof that this occurs. the leaks are genarally related to high iats and or high psi from stacked pullies or running the 185 pulley with an improper tune. no one has has had a failure of the i/c and been told it was because of the pump.

I want to know the difference in performance about the 2 pumps, the reability is not an issue to me, if the OEM last only 10k its ok, we must know which one flow more then the other and lower the IAT. On the selling websites they mentioned that the CM30 flow 3 times mores the Bosch, from the charts i see the contrary!!

Some members have successfully installed a Davies Craig pump for additional flow.

Could also be used to drain a swimming pool in a pinch.

if talk about intercooler pumps for Sl55 , it is a change in 2007 to a bosch nr10 pump , ANYBODY knows the flow of that new pump? they say no need change to CM 30 if have that one.
Kleeman has another pump with this specs
3 times up VS normal is 100%
And it will do it at 11 PSI
8.7 G.P.M. compared to the OEM pumps 3.00 G.P.M. flow rate IS 11,3 LITER , AMAZING SMALL AMOUNT .
SO IF IT IS US GALLON 1 X 3,78 LITER IT IS 32 LITER PR MIN ON Kleemann PUMP , WOULD LIKE MORE ACTUALLY, IF SYSTEM COULD HANDLE IT , BUT maybe the lines not big enoght

IF you're changing the pumps for performance reasons then you've got it all wrong.
The recommendation to change to CM30 is about reliability, the Bosch are known to have higher chance of dying, and hence the CM30 are recommended as a close enough replacement.
If you're doing funny things to your car for performance, then you need to research bigger/more powerful pumps as well as a higher flowing IC with bigger coolant pipes etc.
I think you're asking the wrong question for the wrong scenario.
