No, I just like saying Zündfolge.

LH is 5 through 8.
RH is 1 through 4
Front to rear.

…as viewed from the driver’s seat.

what one is it? Does the 55NA have the same firing order as the 55k? what mkonei says conflicts with splinter on the 55NA m113

It's in the manual or service booklet, I remember reading it in one of the two. Also one of the C55 members has it in their sig... i'll post their SN if i come across it.

MERCEDESFTW is his SN and 1-5-4-2-6-3-7-8 is the firering order. I doubled checked with my manual/service booklet when I had 5 and 6 misfire and shut down on me a month ago.

Son of a...

It turns out its the same firing order if what Im reading is correct. It was mentioned in this thread that the MB cylinders are numbered:

5 - 1
6 - 2
7 - 3
8 - 4
FIREWALL

SBC:

1 - 2
3 - 4
5 - 6
7 - 8
FIREWALL

MB firing order: 1-5-4-2-6-3-7-8

1=2 - 5=1 - 4=8 - 2=4 - 6=3 - 3=6 - 7=5 - 8=7

So the MB firing order with SBC cylinder numbering

2-1-8-4-3-6-5-7

(Move the 2 to the end and you get 1-8-4-3-6-5-7-2)

The funny thing is there are 4-7 swap cams out there that change the SBC firing order... if MB is using it on the 55 motor, it can't be all that bad!
