WTT: H&R springs for stock ones

When I bought my car it had freshly installed H&R springs on it. The car looks great with them on it, but the problem is when i'm carrying 4 passengers the tires will rub when I hit fairly decent bumps. I wanna be able to load up the car and not worry about this. If anyone is interested in doing a straight swap of their stock springs for these H&R's and they are near the South Florida area let me know. Even if someone has an old pair of stockers they want to get rid of i'd appreciate it.

Here's a pic of my car with springs on it. The wheels are 19's.

You don't need to put the OEM springs back. HRs are great.
You just need to switch to a thicker shim on the rear springs and possibly,
I recommend rolling the rear fenders.

That's exactly my experience with the HRs before switching to a thicker shim.
My rear fenders were already rolled when I purchased my C32.
Original shim has two dots, you'll need the four dot shim.

Unless you have four really heavy passengers and a trunkfull of luggages, you shouldn't have anymore bottoming outs. It would if you come upon some depression or bump on the road too fast.

Ok, so since I didn't install these I don't have any idea what the four dot shim is. Where can I find these? Thanks!

Get them from your MB Dealer. They are fairly cheap.

I have my stock ones in a box ready to ship if you still want to trade. As others have said though, it would make much more sense to make sure you have a #4 shim in the rear. It's an $8 part.

... are always a good time.
I also am runing with the HR's on my C32. When they were first installed I rubbed also. I was rubbing without anyone in the back I jack up the car and did some metal trimming with my Dremel.

It took several sessions of trimming until I got it almost perfect. I can run the car with two adults in the back and rub unless I hit a dip at speed.

I am also running with the "2 Dot" pads. I plan to bring the car up again and trim just a little more.

Btw... what offset are you running on your 19's. That would make a HUGE difference. I am running with a 35 offset in the rear.

Enjoy the pics!
