Then they should have done a recall on that lot number or put out a bulletin to their distributors/customers instead of having customers recounting their experiences on forums like these. Sure, the issue 'supposedly' had been corrected but too little too late for the folks who's filters have failed and specially the ones like me who have lost their proof of purchase/receipts to present for a refund or replacement (I'm not sure about the second).
