C32: Raped...
So I am on my way to the gym today (I have to drive through Mexico to get there) when a brand new CTS pulls up next to me...
I peek over and notice its a CTS-V....I was going to try to get him to run and just take off in first to see if he'd go. The light turns green and his tires are screeching and we both take off, it is dead even in 1st gear...Then.....he shifts into second.....bye bye that thing took off like a bat out of hell continuing to pull harder and harder on me until at 80mph I just let off.
I caught back up to him at the next light and gave him the thumbs up..he rolled down his window and was probably more excited about his car than anyone I've ever met, he told me about how he smoked a new M5 the other day and his mom's Bentley GT is no contest for it...(we were in Mexico so he spoke Spanish, he might have said more I just couldn't comprehend )
That car truly is a beast though....for any doubters out there

wow. you have to go to mexico to go to the gym too? lol. glad to hear you can understand some spanish
those new CTS-Vs are NO joke, at all. They just had a head- to-head comparison with the M5 and that and I think the CTS-V won and was faster. Faster than his mom's Bentley GT? How old was this kid? Racing around his mom's Bentley? Dayum.
There is a thread about how a fully modded C32 would do against a new M3. I came to the conclusion that a fully modded one (like mine, at least i would consider mine to be) would beat one on a roll. Only time will tell. However, I wonder how it would do against a new CTS-V? More than likely, the CTS-V would be faster, especially from a roll. But maybe Jake's, with some goodies we dont know about, and some nitrous (which I think he has) may stand a chance against a new stock V.
Nice story. Be safe out there in Mexico!

They are fast.
Raced one off the light in a CLS63, we were pretty much dead even except friend's CLS got a jump in 3rd gear but he was still on our rear bumper. Quick cars by the Americans... 1/4th 12.4 seconds at 114.7

yup! and you should see the kind of power they make with a simple pulley and tune. its unbelievable. huge upgrade IMO in american cars. surprisingly very nice interior too. i would 100% consider purchasing this car in the future (when i can afford it lol). of course, the AMG will still be in the stable too!

It seems like GM hit the jackpot with the drivetrain and chassis on this car. Everything performance related on it competes with the best Germany can muster.
Unfortunately, GM's lack of maturity in design refinement and relentless commitment to using cheap shiny plastic really shows.
Perhaps in another 5-10 years of following MB, BMW, and Audi's lead, GM might be able to create a vehicle that German aficionados would consider.

yeah those new Vs are beyond awesome. Do your self a favor and go sit in one... you can definitely tell it’s a Caddy. Comfortable as hell but still extremely supportive for more "spirited" driving
Its fun getting smoked by a car that you know is on a different playing field as you, i just love seeing nice cars go fast!

Indeed, they are NO joke at all. My friend bought a brand new one fully loaded about 2 weeks ago. I raced him twice... He pulled 2 cars on me from a roll... Im not racing him again till i get my ECU done...

sounds like a good idea.. get that detuned 6.2L AMG back to its normal state of power like it should be, add 100 octane gas and race him again..

Those CTS-V's are insanely quick, anywhere from 3.9 to 4.6 0-60, depending on the year. Not just in a straightline either... it did the Nurburgring in under 8 minutes on stock tires.
Still, I sat in one and was looking at it and still, GM puts cheap feeling plastic parts inside their marquee vehicle. No wonder they are bankrupt. I'd still pay double for a CLS63 or an S65.

Heh, you need to know your enemies better. That CTS-V will put us down without much trouble with our meager mods. We need to go pretty heavy on mods to fight one.

yup. not sure the c32 can keep up with the ctsv with the stock blower. i think the best run an M112k can give it will be a fully modded SRT6 crossfire on spray.

maybe if we gut out our c32's of all the luxuries it comes with and sub em with cheap lightweight plastic we might have a chance..
