C32: Raped...
I peek over and notice its a CTS-V....I was going to try to get him to run and just take off in first to see if he'd go. The light turns green and his tires are screeching and we both take off, it is dead even in 1st gear...Then.....he shifts into second.....bye bye that thing took off like a bat out of hell continuing to pull harder and harder on me until at 80mph I just let off.
I caught back up to him at the next light and gave him the thumbs up..he rolled down his window and was probably more excited about his car than anyone I've ever met, he told me about how he smoked a new M5 the other day and his mom's Bentley GT is no contest for it...(we were in Mexico so he spoke Spanish, he might have said more I just couldn't comprehend
)That car truly is a beast though....for any doubters out there
those new CTS-Vs are NO joke, at all. They just had a head- to-head comparison with the M5 and that and I think the CTS-V won and was faster. Faster than his mom's Bentley GT? How old was this kid? Racing around his mom's Bentley? Dayum.
There is a thread about how a fully modded C32 would do against a new M3. I came to the conclusion that a fully modded one (like mine, at least i would consider mine to be) would beat one on a roll. Only time will tell. However, I wonder how it would do against a new CTS-V? More than likely, the CTS-V would be faster, especially from a roll. But maybe Jake's, with some goodies we dont know about, and some nitrous (which I think he has) may stand a chance against a new stock V.
Nice story. Be safe out there in Mexico!

Raced one off the light in a CLS63, we were pretty much dead even except friend's CLS got a jump in 3rd gear but he was still on our rear bumper. Quick cars by the Americans... 1/4th 12.4 seconds at 114.7

Unfortunately, GM's lack of maturity in design refinement and relentless commitment to using cheap shiny plastic really shows.
Perhaps in another 5-10 years of following MB, BMW, and Audi's lead, GM might be able to create a vehicle that German aficionados would consider.
Its fun getting smoked by a car that you know is on a different playing field as you, i just love seeing nice cars go fast!
... Im not racing him again till i get my ECU done...IT IS NO JOKE

Still, I sat in one and was looking at it and still, GM puts cheap feeling plastic parts inside their marquee vehicle. No wonder they are bankrupt. I'd still pay double for a CLS63 or an S65.
