The question I have is the following.
Last time i went to the track i ran a 13.04 at 108 mph.
i raced against a lexus IS-F.
When we took off i had about a car on him till the very end where he passed me by half a car.
He got 12.8.
Now since then i got my secondary cats deleted. Do you think If i go to the track again soon I can beat this guy.
I always see him driving around and he is cocky! I wish I had holeys car to shut him up lol.
But i guess i have to work with what ive got.
Let me know if you think i can take him.
And if I can't what is there I can do to my car which will help me get into the 12's and is not going to take a chunk out of my bank account!
Thanks Guys!

on hooleys car, i think he saw 8-10whp on the delete.

now while he had a better ET than you, what was HIS trap speed on his 1/4 mile run?

that is a better indicator of the difference in how fast both of your cars are..........it sounds from your story that you hooked up better, and judging by that you had him by about a car and then he passed you by a half at the end, makes it seem like he may be been pulling quite hard up top.

and yes, Hooley's car shuts everything up (well, at least most things for now). some guy bet recently him 1K at a bar/club that his Lambo Diablo GT would spank his C55. lol......we'll see if THAT race ever happens.

Exactly!!! I have to see that one. Ill take a flight up there to witness.
his trap speed was 110.
so 2mph more than me.
But i tell you I had him a full car from the start and at the very end his back door was at my passenger car.
In other post that i put before i put that i really dont know but I feel like my car has to have had something done to it before or it was a freak from the dealership becasue i race cars that supposively c55's dont beat and i beat them.
I recently raced the 2008 M3 Coupe from a stop and I was half a car ahead of him till about 100 then we let off.
I am meaning to take it to the dyno but never have time.

that is impressive! maybe you do have a factory freak. did you get your car new or used? i only ask b/c i got mine used and was unaware it already had a tune on it until March lol (and i've had mine since Fall 03).

well if he is only trapping 110 and you just did this, then it will be a good race IMO. 10whp (if that is what you possibly gained) is possibly good for 1/2 - car maybe. However, since it is just a 1/4 mile race, if you pull him off the line again (assuming you did last time), he shouldnt catch up as quickly this time. it will be a photofinish assuming everything else is the same.

that always happens to me. you'll get your shot soon lol.

glad to hear you got a clean car. i suppose the only way to really tell if there is a tune on there already is to get it on a dyno and check out how the A/Fs look and compare them to what typical A/Fs look like on other stock C55s.

I will upload a video of me embarrasing a brand new IS-F ... I think he ran 13.11 @ 113, dont think he knew how to launch it with traction off... at any rate i think i crossed at 12.4 @ 115 in that pass.

The ISF is not a bad car, but not in the same league as a boosted C55. Maybe after some aftermarket scene hits them up... it will be a competitor.

hey komp...we can go head to head at the meet if you want..all i have is the kleemann headers and a very custom exhaust right now. the kleemann lsd is in the box along with the s/c. just dont have time to install since my guy is on vacation. never dynoed it, or ran it before..i will be home from iraq for my 2 weeks r&r leave, and you and i are the only ones with c55's showing up at the meet at euroteck august 1st. up to you...

i know a couple local peeps u could race in ur C55..
I told you you arent producing stock numbers. Do you have the stock airbox or a renntech CF one. Any pulleys?

If i remember correctly you dont have any exhaust work or header work? Stock C55's arent flat 13 sec cars. I dont know if you would get any substantial gains from just a tune alone.

Regarding the IS-F
A month or so back I saw a IS350 and a IS-F go head to head at Countyline 1/8th mile. The IS350 beat him three times in a row. I imagine bc of the length of an 1/8 mile had something to do with it. Call it BS but i saw it with my own eyes. Too bad none of my other buddies show up when i need them around (C55Asleep?)

Watch he'll come out shortly.....

cool...i would like to see what my car can do as well...need to take the 2 12 inch subs out of the trunk....that box alone is like 150 pounds..lol..but seriously maybe you can help me learn to drive my c55 the way it needs to be...again all i have is the kleemann headers, and the amg exhaust thats modded, with the primary cats deleted, resonator delete and race secondary cats...sounds very mean. should be interesting to say the least. yeah i cant wait till the meet as well.

Yeah man.. in my eyes thats alot of work!
When you got the primary cats deleted you didnt get check engine lights?
I only deleted my resonator and secondary cats becuase i was afriad that by cutting the primary it would affect the 02 sensors.
Ill let you know when I get back so we can take a look at the cars.
Have a fun and safe weekend guys!!!!

Moose..yeah i decided to go all out with Kleemann parts..got the LSD and the S/C but its in the boxes still...my guy is on vacation and since i will only have 2 weeks R&R leave from Iraq he wont be back in time to install the stuff while i am there. Should be a good run though..Like i said ive never ran it before so any advise from you guys will help. She should be done by Jan, as in completely done to include the custom stuff, then we can see what she can really do. I am stoked. Cant wait to see you guys at the meet, glad its Aug 1st so i can attend.

Komp...my guy told me that when he did the exhaust and the headers, he sent the ecu to Kleemann..somehow they can program it to bypass the O2 sensors which causes the car to not give any faulty error codes or lights. We can inspect them further at the meet, but my guy has done this before and he is a guru when it comes to this stuff...a little on the pricy side, but you get what you pay for.
