05 C55 31K Miles w CPO or 19k Miles no CPO

I'm really close to picking up a C55 AMG, but am having what may or may not be a bit of a dilemma with choosing. I can either get:

(i) 05 C55 with 31k Miles, CPO, and Nav. This car is available locally; or

(ii) 05 C55 with 19 Miles, no CPO, no Nav, car is 1300 miles away and must be shipped to Texas for about $1100.

Both cars are one owner, same colour, appear to be in excellent condition. The 19k mile car can be had for about $2k less than the 31k mile car, which probably makes up for the nav and shipping.

Which would you pick and why? I need to make a decision pretty soon. Thanks.

Thanks for the input. The 19k one is from a Pontiac dealer so it's a one-off for them. I don't drive my cars much as I keep a daily driver 328i stick for that purpose, so, for me, the 12k mile difference is about 2 to 3 years of driving, but I see your point. Much appreciated!

CPO for sure. Just price a couple minor issues and you'll def recoup the extra money through the CPO. Just see when the CPO runs out and get it in writing. Also, you'll like the Nav in the long run and installing Nav, at least factory, ain't cheap.

Some have issues with the nav needing reprogramming. As nice as the navi is (IMO), it shouldn't be a dealbreaker, although it is for some.

If CPO is very important to you, then get that one.

Also, look into their carfax/autocheck histories. Make sure you try to find out why there's "only" 19k on a car that old.

I'm going to go with the CPO - less hassle, and I got them to go down another $950 today. Can't wait - I have not been able to stop thinking about the car since I drove a C55 (for the first time) about 3 weeks ago. Even though I own the W210 E55, this cat's another ball game altogether. Thanks to y'all for the feedback.

CPO all the way. The difference in mileage is negligible. You can have a 10000 mile car that has been driven harder than a 50000 mile car. The CPO warranty will let you work out any kinks in the car at no cost to you. Good luck in your hunt!

Couple opinions:

I had C55 until 20K miles. I had W210 E55 until 73K miles. Literally same base engine. No issue w/ the E55 except the infamous MAF - easy DIY & relatively cheap. Same thing w/ C55. No issue up until 20K miles... and looking at the E55, I wouldn't expect to have any issue at least until 73K miles. So... I'm not concerned about the engine even w/o warranty.

Electronics... luckily C55 doesn't have a lot of electronics, unlike W211 E55 or S/CL/SL. So I'm not worried about electronics that much either.

This means... warranty is a moot point for me on this car. A warranty is nice but is not a must. I'd pay more attention to the actual condition of the car... is there any sign of abuse and not well maintained? Mileage is kind of irrelevant here, like another poster said.

Assuming warranty is quite important for you.... make sure you check the in-service date. The CPO one may not have as much longer warranty than the non-CPO one as you may expect - if the CPO one is indeed very early 2005 (e.g. Jun/04) and the non-CPO one is very late 2005 (e.g. Jun/05), both cars' warranty would end Jun/09. I think you know this already... but just want to be sure in case you forget.

But either way, I could see how you are excited w/ C55.... I owned both W210 E55 and C55 at the same time also.... even though the base engine is the same, each of them feels like different animal. Enjoy!
