If your going with JDM suspension, please save urself $ and time TEIN is the way to go. If your doing Euro suspensions, go with H-R, KW, Pss9s.

there fine. i have d2's on my car and there basically the same coil over just stiffer spring rates since they all come out of the same factory in taiwan. I think its a pretty good coil over for the $1k range since it comes with adjustable damper. I would say there a good canyon running type of sprited driving on the street coil over.

If your serious about autox, i would pony up the extra money and get the blisteins.

I say the teins are over rated. these in my opinion are about on par with the teins. This is coming from my tein experience with my hondas.

beware though, if you have 19's the fronts leave barely a 1finger gap at the highest height if your using a 35 side wall.

Where have you heard/read that coilovers are usually too soft for track use?

You're getting good advice above - the only missing element is "what's your budget for suspension?" If it's not an issue, then perhaps contact JRZ or Moton and get a custom-spec'd set of coilovers for your track car... be prepared to pay ~$5k or more. If you're more comfortable in the $2k range, then Bilstein PSS9 or KW V2 is likely your best bet. If you'd rather stay in the $1k range - perhaps H&R springs and custom-valved Koni sport or Bilstein sport shocks/struts, as recommended by some track-oriented members.

Keep in mind, many folks here knowledgeable on such matters state that upgraded sways will make the most noticeable improvement in the on-track handling prowess of w203 AMGs... hope to put that theory to the test with my own, in the near future.

Another option for 1k is Vogtland Sport Lowering Springs + Bilstein sport shocks

Better? From everything I've heard and read of other's experiences, hands-down the PSS9 is better. It's also ~2x more money for the hardware vs. most spring/shock/strut offerings... so it should be.

Bottomline, only you can determine if the incremental cost will yield tangible, useful benefits for your application - but I hope the info helps you make that decision.
