a car that can't do the throttle reset.
Went to a local shop today... he said he could do it, and when I asked for 2 3/4 he said I was wrong. Said that my car probably took about an inch and a half. Obviously this is without taking a look. When I said I was sure... he said that I would "Never find that size stainless anywhere".
Greeeat. I left.

yes mild steel rusts and can't handle as much heat as SS. if you live near water (the ocean) or live where it snows, i would avoid mild steel.

if you're close to the GWB the shop is about 45 min from there. powerhouse tunning on Bradock ave and moline st. In bellerose NY if I'm not mistaken. but GL hope you find a place closer to you that will do your res delete.

JT getting my res delete done today but the guy adviced me to use a 2.5 ss pipe. he said that using a pipe larger that the stock diameter would cause trbulence and disrupt the flow of the exhaust gasses. He said he would see if he has 3 in available but if not he would use 2.5 also cause I want it done today!!!
Is he BSing me ?

the resonator delete really isnt a source for more power in your exhaust system. the only place you will see real gains is if you do headers. once you do that, then you may see small gains in doing resonator delete, secondary cat delete, and high flow primaries.
what pulley are you getting? there is one or two for sale right now in the srt6 crossfire forum. they go quick though

There’s not much to it. ~$60/£38.
FrankW and ScottW911 insisted I lose mine. ;)

shouldnt matter. the pipe i used is definitely larger then the stock size. not sure if i lost any power, but my car sure is strong (dyno'd 350whp on 91 octane on a dynodynamics). if your exhaust guy suggests 2.5 then you should be fine with that.

turns out the shop that I went to all of a sudden jacked up the price after he put my car on the lift. he started saying that i have a special kind of ss pipe....and that he had to special order it.
to make the long story short....I left. pretty funny how things work out though, I was going home I live in long island NY and I met the owner of ttmotorsports. I'll probably bring my car to his shop and do a pulley and ecu tune.

the highest i have seen for a resonator delete with labor and materials is 120. the absolute highest. cheapest i've seen is like 50 or 60. that range is acceptable. nothing more.
pulley and ecu tune? what pulley?

bruce from ttmotorsports suggested an asp pulley and a ecu tune that he does in his shop. haven't discussed what size or type yet. he did give me the option to have my ecu sent out but that would take too long though. I'm just waiting for him to cantact me with his suggestions and how much it will cost

buy it online, a thread surfaced a while back where a member was having a hard time (actually shops were giving him the hard time) getting his resonator cut off , he found it and ordered it online, took it to the shop and had it done with out any *****in and wyning from the shop.. do a search on it, maybe youll find it.. you will have to make a desicion on the size though..
