Fastest C32?

This is a follow-up to What a Launch! I put stock wheels back on and out the shoot I ran 13.09 @ 106 mph.
Second run magic 12.995 @ 106.76 Could this be the fastest C32? By the way the tower inverted lane dial in. Cannon got the 1 second head start. However he spun out and shut down. I don't think there is room for much improvement in 1/4 mile times.
Renntech does it again!!!

Thumbs up Fastest C32

Yeah boy, I was there and my daughter got it on video tape. My 401 ran his three best times and yet lost to me three times due to dial in. Tried the Hoosiers on my car and couldn't get them to hook up. By the way the temperature was around 70 degrees with 90+% humidity so My401 still has room for improvement. As for me, I'm going back to my S-03's unless I can run on a dry track. Kudos to RENNtech and My401. Lookout Pocholin, that C32's gunning for you!

Sounds like you are burning rubber down south, while I am throwing logs in the fireplace wrapped in my blanket, waiting for track time in the spring. Oh well!!!

Move south, we have plenty of room down here. Never could figure why so many people stay so far north since the invention of air conditioning.:p

The blanket was in reference to the subject (me), not the object (logs). Had I included "while" between " fireplace" and "wrapped", it would have been clearer.

Why does your footnote mention Renntech. Is your car not stock?

Ahh, how correct. However, there are two seasons (fall, spring) in this area that are worth suffering for at times.

Congratulations

Very nice time! The results speak highly of the RENNtech mods. It looks like some reduced wheel weight helped pull out some more power and you still got a nice 60ft time.

Can you describe your launch technique? Which stock tires did your car come with?

Geat runs! Finally a 12 second C32.
I am surprised at the low trap speed though, I would think it shoud be near 110mph. 106 is where the stock ones are. Anyone have any ideas here?

My theory is that when you upgrade the Pully and the ECU you'll also need to upgrade the intercooler. With 2 extra lbs of boost your car is producing so much heat that your stock intercooler can handle.
PC527 with Evosport ODPS setup did 108 at 1100 ft elevation. There is your difference with the intercooler upgrade.
I assume In real life street driving Evosport's setup will be faster than Renntech's setup. IMHO

Congratulations on your new times My401!
I'm glad you decided to use the original tires, they paid off.

I need to catch up with you on my times, but I'll probably wait until after the Big Bend Open Road Race by the end of april.

Once again, congrats!

Interestingly, seems the fastest C32 resides in the same neighborhood as the fastest E55. Coincidence? Don't think so as we both made the trips to Palm Beach together. Life is good!

I would like to give a shot at My401 time once I have the ODPS installed. However, since I am in Europe we don't have 1/4 mile or 1/8 mile race tracks.
How can I compete ? (besides shipping my baby over the Atlantic).

Thx

my401,
those are some really nice 1/4 mile times. good job.
your 60' time are amazing considering street tires.
i dunno how you keep them wheels to the ground. did you use glue? hehe.
I have the hardest time launching at california speedway.
can't get a good hook up.
would you mind sharing your launch techniques?

thx,
peter

Congrats My401...

I want to congratulate you on your 12 second pass but I have a few questions about you as a driver: 1) Why would you dial in a 12.10 when you'd never even been 12's before? 2) Were you asleep behind the wheel when the lights came down? You had a pathetic 1.46 reaction time which is terrible. What matters though is that your 60' time was a 1.90 which is great considering you had street tires on the car. I'm very impressed with the car and I can't help but wonder how much quicker you'll be when you get more practice in. As for the Renntech mods, are they detectable by the dealer? This is a warranty voiding mod I would assume?

Question

My401 dialed in a 13.10 and the track people got it crossed. I dialed in a 12.1 and they gave me the head start, which is why he sat at the line (wondering what happened) for 1.4 seconds. He knew he would catch a lot of flack over that reaction time!

Talking Phat chance

Yea, I know the R/T sucks but the track officials screwed up our dial in times... I was pissed after sitting in stagging line for 45 min. then they give Cannon a full 1 second head start. As far as practice, yes more could be better. But I've also have a 70 Chevelle that runs 11.8's with 1.70 60ft. times. That one, you surely have to hold on!! Most of my R/T times are in the .59-.75 range..:p

my401...launch technique?

my 401...Can you share your launch technique? Brake torque, RPM's, throttle application.

What about your observations of launch technique before and after your beach trip for more power?
