NAVI PROBLEMS
At times after driving for long distances my navi will act up
cannot read disc check dvd
so after a month or so I decided to take it to the dealer (oil change etc)
They told me I needed a new disc $280
I told them no thanks.
After getting the car back I checked the navi a week and notice.
so I checked the disc and its still my orginal disc it just doesn't work anymore.
At lease before I went to the dealer the navi worked just not all the time. (no scratches)
so I called the dealer and asked them what's up, there response was I have to buy the update disc nothing they can do.
My question is there a way I can get my old disc to work? (downgrade software)
Is there a cheaper disc? where and how much?

Be happy, my whole command shuts down for days on end leaving me without even the radio! I'm going to take it in shortly.
I have also heard that there are torrents of this content, however cannot confirm same nor countenance such activities....

Bump to an old thread-
I'm having this same error whre only my nav does not work, everything else does. Before I give up and buy a Dynavin unit http://www.dynavin.com/products/product_dnv_mbc.php, anyone have experiance with this? I'm not having the update disc issue since I already have the 2010/11 disc.

I bought a Garmin Nuvi 1350. The Nav-unit in our cars is an ever-loving joke. Pretty sure I've used it so little it thinks "home" is where the PO still lives. 
Garmin w/ lifetime traffic and map updates= $140.00
Crap-tastic Merc-Nav w/ updated disc= $80.00 + shipping and it still sucks.
