Code3 Supercharger Pulley Review
This is a free country and we're all entitled to our personal opinions. I felt my experience with the CODE3 clutch pulley would best serve our C32 community if I shared it. Hence my thread. It has nothing to do with a company preference. I needed a part, located it and purchased it. Simply as that.

That said, Koru Kinshi's point might be that it'd take a sharp-eyed tech to notice the upper S/C pulley (especially one of the later versions, without the notches), whereas an aftermarket crank pulley kit is much more obvious, even to an untrained observer.
I hope that's a typo, and the "1" is supposed to be a "2" on the rwhp and the "2" is supposed to be a "3" on the rwtq?!? You're literally over 100 rwhp/rwtq below what would be low-normal performance for a C32.
IMHO, this suggests either a problem with the dyno (what did other cars dyno that day, if any were present?) or a problem with your car. Goes without saying, but hopefully it's the former.

We were thinking that since it was so hot, it messed up the tune since it's normally not that hot here? Like when my car gets really hot, it doesn't seem to happen. Is that possible?
BTW, it was a Land and Sea Dyno and that day I put out 290RWHP.
TIA!

Greg,
I thought my reading was a bit too low (depressing) but I guess I feel a bit better knowing your results that day.
I know you put out way much more that.
I wonder what Dan (Overdrive) put out that day.

The installation was very smooth. I followed the procedure as found on the Code3 pdf. almost exactly. The only modification I made was replacing the crow bar with a strap wrench to hold the pulley in place. The pulley came off without a hitch and went back on the same way. I installed the included shim for the spacing and torqued the main bolt to 20nm with my torque wrench.
Driving impression, WOW... This thing really hauls now. The power delivery at lower rpms are also amplified tremendously. It feels like there is more torque all the time. I highly recomend this product to anyone looking to boost the C32 to a new level. Thanks to the members who contributed with info and to Brandon for the great customer service.
Now...Time to install the package from APE

congrats.. (customer issues aside and disputes)
It is a great working mod for any C32/SLK3/SRT6. Tune will make it even better.
For those that have issues with CP3, I can understand the sour business transactions.
For the record, Brandon is still selling products and he is working on modifying cars. Over the week-end I met up with him so that LET (jerry) and Brandon flash my E55 with a newer file. They unlocked torque limiter and smoother power delivery.
Wheather or not LET is selling parts CP3 is unkown to me.. but when it comes to tuning.. they are very much in business not only in MB, but with BMW too.

Hey Doug,
I believe Dan put out about 310 that day. Not positive, but I think I remember that number.
Hope all's well with you!
It was always a good product, it was just some people had problems with the company(not me).

Now though, it's time to hit the track and see what "I" can do.

It was 293whp/304wtrq

Still super low though. I want more.Jake, Yes I did reset the ECU. Last time the P0108 (Over boost

if I remember it right) showed up. I cleared the code and reset the ECU also, but the hiccup is still there. I also just had a LET headers installed so yes, I need it retune. Could not afford 2 day turn around for mail tune lol
Hope you guys come back here before Christmas
Edit: Forgot to mention, the number was on 19" wheels, 5 pounds heavier than stock on each.

OK, that makes more sense now.
How does your car feel after the headers were installed?
thanks in advance!

Before I reinstalled the pulley, I noticed C3 Pulley has some loose sections in the flange. I know because I compared it to the OEM and if you tap on the flanges, the OEM didn't budge or make a noise. On the C3, if you wiggle the outer flange, it would make like a bell sound. And on top of that, C3 pulley flange had a wobble. And because I did not have an extra shim, the flange would rub on the S/C main body.
It would make a difference if I added another shim and resolve the flange rubbing at a certain spot. The result is a constant whine from the S/C which is really the C3 pulley clutch plate rubbing off the main S/C.
Heck, I just went ahead and finished the job!!!
