Thumbs up Code3 Supercharger Pulley Review

As most of you know, i've been in the market for a pulley to replace my worn and noisy stock unit. I decided to order the Code3 piece and could not be happier!

The installation was very smooth. I followed the procedure as found on the Code3 pdf. almost exactly. The only modification I made was replacing the crow bar with a strap wrench to hold the pulley in place. The pulley came off without a hitch and went back on the same way. I installed the included shim for the spacing and torqued the main bolt to 20nm with my torque wrench.

Driving impression, WOW... This thing really hauls now. The power delivery at lower rpms are also amplified tremendously. It feels like there is more torque all the time. I highly recomend this product to anyone looking to boost the C32 to a new level. Thanks to the members who contributed with info and to Brandon for the great customer service.

Now...Time to install the package from APE . It's a good weekend!

CODE3 is owned and operated by the BIGGEST PIECE OF **** EVER!
Just read this thread.

DON'T EVER BUY CODE3 products, unless you want to be ripped off!

Save your hard earned $ and buy from LET, aka "eurocharged"

LET offers a Supercharger Pulley? I thought they offered a crank setup. I'm not taking anyone's side, simply sharing my review and personal experience.
Sorry to read your's was not so good.

Time to get to work on the IC pump .

Why would you want a s/c pulley from a liar, ill-reputable ******, when you could have 2X the power if not more from a STELLAR group that is CUSTOMER SERVICE oriented - EUROCHARGED ALL THE WAY

Woah. Dude take a chill pill, seriously. I needed a supercharger pulley to replace my worn out unit. LET does not sell supercharger pulleys, they sell crank pulleys. Period.

No "chill pill" here buddy. Just offering you free experience of what aftermarket providers to deal with.

If you use the "search" function you will find that MANY support my view.

Pulley

You guys are not listening to what Al said. He had to have a new SC pulley because the clutch portion was damaged. He essentially had only a few limited options. Buy a new SC clutch assembly from MB for mega bucks or buy a used one and hope it is OK or go with the C3P option which was a great choice in his case. Yeah some guys have had issues with some of their offerings but the pulley is a quality piece. As good as the stock MB unit in quality, fit and finish. The C3P pulley offers boost output similar to a 178mm crank pulley. That is a mild performance upgrade. Add a LET tune or other reflash and you have one killer sleeper.

Glad you like the part Al.

I have the code3 Pulley and the Air intake. I'm quite pleased with what it has delivered. Of course, I wish I have the 185s, but, that's for another day.
LET made a baseline reading of 288 rwhp and 298 torque on a PowerChip tune.

It's unfortunate to hear some members' horrible experiences with Code3. No one would not want that to happen to anyone.

As of this writing, the bearing on the SC pulley is going out. I noticed it when
I drove in to my garage. Way too loud whining. I ordered immediately a replacement bearing Nachi 32BG05S102DST.
Funny thing, I squirted some Teflon oil lubricant on all the bearings I can get to and the noise went away but not completely.
I know I installed the Code3 pulley a little bit more than a year ago.

Am i reading right ? You made only 288 with the C3 Pulley and intake and a tune? Was this on a mustang dyno?

its a shame brandon did so many people wrong. i truley want the c3 puleey as im not a fan of changing the crank pulley. its a great way to make power and still keep the rest of the system stock. hopefully someday ill find that elusive used c3 and have the pulley i want without dealing with the co.
of course now would be a prime time for eurocharged to make a s/c pulley to benefit those that dont want the crank setup!

LET has the C3 pulleys on their site. Do they actually keep them in stock or just order them from C3? It'd be great if they had them.

Nope, LET doesn't have anything to do with Code3 anymore. They just need to update their Website. NAything LET is pretty much on:

This was the LET NorCal tune last May 16th. Temp that day was 95-99 F.
The results dumbfounded everyone. I was second to last at 10:00 P.M. (started at 9:00? A.M.) and Jerry and everybody else just wanted to call it a day. He said he could tweek more out of it but basically, said it was a pretty good pull with just what I had for mods and the temp that day. There were guys with 185s and could only get a little bit over 310s rwhp.

Remember, LET just did a baseline reading. No tune! I'll have to waii till perhaps October when LET might be in town.
No, this was not on a Mustang. I believe it was a DynoMite.

All due respect guys, you're seriously hijacking/derailing AJBoost's thread. Many forum members have experienced issues with various vendors, past and present... rehashing those issues in every thread that mentions the specific firm is generally considered poor form, IMHO.

Bottomline, sounds like he needed a specific part, sourced an upgraded version through C3P, and obtained a very satisfactory result. While I wouldn't necessarily order product from C3P, I don't think it's very fair or respectful to the OP to pursue an unrelated bashing session in his thread. My $0.02.
