Thanks pshek...

I am ready to get the power 2 package, but don't want to void my warranty.

Evomike, I believe that the headers in the picture are not the ones that are currently being offered by EvoSport as mentioned previously. Are you now reproducing the original bespoke equal length headers instead of the one pictured in a prior post that look like the SuperSprints?

Vadim says they're unequal length.

Mike, made a mistake. Production version is posted above. They are unequal length and coated with HiTemp Titanium coating. They will only fit W203 V6s (240, 320, C32).

Overdrive pulley system - larger crankshaft pulley, spins supercharger faster and higher boost = more HP. Some of them do not have a harmonic balancer, ie bad. Correct me if I'm wrong.

FYI:

I am having custom equal length headers made for my ported and flowed C32 motor. They are different from previous headers in the following ways:

Larger primary tubing - better flow
Ceramic coated, thermobaric coated
Wrapped in heat resistant material
Equal length header design - more HP gain per dollar

On my car, they should provide an additional +25HP increase. They will make more HP gain than unequal length headers. Cost will be $1800 and it will take a few weeks to manufacture. They are probably going to be ready by Feb-March, about the same timeframe my swap will take place at HOP.

If anybody wants these headers for their W203 V6 (240, 320, or C32), contact me or Josh R at HOP. You can also visit HOP to check it out. More info and pictures will be provided when they are ready.

How will the ecu need to be retuned to accomodate the better flow, especially on cars that have already been chipped to function without headers?

shorty unequal length headers

Update:

The header design was revised after talking with Josh R. They are going to be unequal length shorty headers. Everything else has remained unchanged, except the cost. They will cost $1150. Josh said that the equal length headers would provide only a marginally higher HP gain than the unequal length, about 3HP difference. The cost to produce equal length headers would be a few hundred dollars more, about $1800 for the equal length headers. They are going to be made of mild steel, with a ceramic outside coating and thermobaric inside coating. Hopefully with the lower price, people might be more interested. I'm still going to get a set for myself.

Oh yeah, the primary tube diameter will be 1.75 inches in diameter. The primary tubes on the Evosport shorty headers are 1.625 inches in diameter. Larger primary tubes are better for FI motors.

For more info or to get a group buy together, you can contact me or Josh R. I will try and keep this project updated continually.

Regarding an ECU retune, I'm not sure about that, but I can ask.

Sorry, they are going to be made of mild steel. Stainless steel costs a lot more than coated mild steel. I was going to buy Supersprint's stainless steel headers, until I found out they were going to cost me $2200.

These headers will be a good price without sacrificing quality.

I guess pictures and dyno results speak for themselves, so I'll stop rambling and post results when they're ready.

How are these headers dealt with when it comes to smogging the car later in California I keep seeing the question are they CARB certified, what's this?

I haven't had the engine swapped yet, hopefully next week. Josh R told me it should be making over 400rwhp after the port and polish work on the cylinder heads and supercharger, also schrick cams too. The engine is basically ready to be put back together now for the swap.

Gains should be in the neighborhood of about 30hp from port and flow work.

I was mistaken earlier. To clarify, >400 rwhp is with a larger crankshaft pulley, cams, headers, and port and flow work of the engine. Without the pulley, it should be making around 350 rwhp.

The headers will be smog legal in California. Here's a pic of porting the exhaust ports to 1 and 3/4". The exhaust ports are less than 1 and 5/8" diameter in stock form as you can see on the right. Left side shows ports after porting to 1 and 3/4" diameter, to match the header primary tubing, which will also be 1 and 3/4". As you can see, it's a huge difference in size and ultimately will lower restriction of exhaust gases. So......the primary tubes on the headers will be huge in comparison to stock.
