Radio turned off by itself....
While riding home today, the radio/nav turned completely off. I thought a fuse blew until I tried to power it on moments later. It powered up and worked fine.....I wonder if this is a sign of something going out.....

Or....it could be that the radio just turned off (static, bump, ghosts, Obama,e ct).
You're fine or looking for a reason to buy a C55

Funny. As much as I'd like to try another car (maybe an E55), I'm not spending
right now. I'll see if it keeps doing it.

Happened to me a few times. Dealer updated software and no issues since.

Updated the radio firmware or something? I wish I knew why it cut off. I will see what happens over the next week and might have to do what you did. How much it set you back?

Yeah, updated firmware I believe. It was free under warranty. But that definitely fixed the issue for me. Hasn't happened since getting the update.
