How did you manage to get 3whp from just a resonator delete?

When used in conjunction with headers, we have seen both 32 and 55 cars flow more efficiently w/out resonator.

The price on the SL55 kit is really going to bring down the private party sale pricing. Nice job, evo. I just might buy my intake kit from you instead, now.

Another question: Will the Code 3 pulley work in conjunction with the underdrive pulley system or no? I assume the ODPS will obviously overspin the SC pulley, so if they work in similarity, it would be safe to assume that the underdrive system would work with both kits...?

What is included in your 55 intake kit? 55 Y-Splitter, 55 Air Boxes, and 55 Hoses as well as the high performance filters?

What are the shorties made of? Stainless steel or mild steel? And imHo, 9 hours is a bit excessive of labor to install shorties. It took most people on here no more than 3 - 4 hours, and i got mine in under 3.

On Evo's site, it looks like the SL 55 kit is the full kit with splitter, hardware, filters, the whole combo.

No 55K boxes though, from the looks of it. Just the SL55 Y-pipe, filters for your stock 32 boxes, and hardware to make it all work.

Nice to see that evosport has cut pricing to reflect (at least, more closely) where the market's at for M112K aftermarket performance mods. IIRC, evo1 used to cost $3kish, and evo1 + evo2 more like $5-6k?

I think the times are excessive too I sat while the guy did a res delete it only took him like 30-40 mins I got it done in my lunch hour and it was only 120 :\ Mr Special can vouch he went to the same guy. Their times say 4 hours. The tune price seems decent, but not very high of gains at all

The times are a suggested labor time. We don't perform every install here and install time will vary from shop to shop. These are just references on what it could take.

Well do you guys not use your own suggested times? I don't understand why you wouldn't you guys and Renntech are both local to me and the pulley kit seems like a decent price, but I am sure the labor would cost more than the part itself. That would make me not even want it. I would suggest you post your own install times and not what is possible that other shops may charge.

Again, labor is a big variable depending on where it's done. You can go down to a local small muffler shop and have them install aluminized steel tubing all day long (not stainless).

If we've done something 100 times and can do it in an hour, when it initially took us 3-4 then I wouldn't expect another shop who has never done it to perform it in one hour. I hear your point, but we don't want to place the install shop in an ackward situation where they are expected to install these items in an unrealistic timeframe. Again, the times are there for reference. I would expect a consumer to call their local installer for a price quote on labor. I would prefer to show higher times and come under than the other way around.

This is one of the damned if you do, damned if you don't things.

Yea I understand, but I work for Mercedes with 60+ techs and I could have the shop foreman install it for me if I asked for free, but it's not a MB product and I would much rather have you guys install it since no one would know their **** more than you would. Just reading that I would have said no way, I am only telling you this because you could be losing local sales because of it. I see too many horror stories here and at work to want to risk this type of install. Just read that guys posts in the W211 amg forum blowing up his engine trying to do his own installs :\ Also you guys are trying to lower the prices to actually make it attainable for us lower paid people to have some fun with our vehicles so putting your own rates would help you out as well Oh I just also remembered that the res delete was only 60 bucks heh the rear cats were 120 for removal.

Very impressed and glad to see more reasonably priced options for these cars. While making your gross profit for the month on one sale is great and all, its just so unethical. Good move EVOSport!

Nice work

Glad to see more items, lower prices, and everything in one neat little PDF
