I am wondering if Mercedes will ever make a diesel c class?? Maybe it's out already I haven't seen anything correct me if I am wrong. Just saw on motorweek that Bmw is making a 335 with a diesel putting down 265hp and a
stout 425 trq. It comes in at about 23 mpg city. Just imagine this car with some delete items for (off road racing only) how much power can be extracted
From that engine. Most diesel engines can easily add 150rwhp without any problems and a bit more if you like to push things, considering it has twin turbos. Maybe 350rwhp and 500trq. Just a thought as I was just thinking out loud. Great speed, power and mpg.

I have diesel amg -05 c class. And there are many other c diesels in europe. 200 cdi, 220 cdi, 270 cdi, c30 amg and 320 cdi.

My amg is 231hp/540Nm. And with chip ~260hp/650Nm + injectors changed +280hp/???..

they have the bluetec...i think if gas prices start spiking up again..they might offer it. Given BMW's and VW's sales number for diesel, I really doubt they will though.

They might just go back to a i4 turbo.

The new boxster is rumored to have a i4 turbo from the audi tts as well as the standard DI I6.

C-Klasse Diesel
I saw a ton of diesel MB's when I was over in Germany last month. Mostly E-Klasse taxis. Saw one that had over a half million miles on it (~790,000 km). I did see a C30 AMG but did not realize it was a diesel.

Its a little off topic but I got to ride in a friends VW which had a V10 twin turbo diesel, rated at 340hp and over 500 ft lbs tq. I don't recall the exact numbers but it was fast and could run 180 mph when the bahn was clear all day long, lol. I could imagine what it would do with a little more boost.

You could get that engine here a few years ago in the VW Tourareg (sp?). Were you in a sedan or were you doing 180MPH in an SUV? That would be a sweet engine in anything, except for the price tag...
