Enjoy your new record- while it lasts.

I see you set the C55 trap speed record this time. Congrats. What do you attribute your improved trap to? New long tubes, more boost, transmission solenoids, cooling mods? Higher Octane gas with matching tune?

I need a few days to break in my new motor but with a 9:1 CR and more reinforced internals than a standard E55 engine, I plan to push 25+lbs of boost through it. I also plan on running it both with and without a multi-stage nitrous kit.

I can't promise you a run-off until I get the engine running this week. Motor lands at Fedor Dezyn tomorrow for final assembly to Maybach transmission, 82MB TB, Torque converter, custom dual intakes, etc...

I hope we can show the C63's owners that keeping a C55 is worth it since I am seeing so many SC'd C55's up for sale this week.

If we can beat JrCart's CLK63 or Bassn07's E55 and then possibly Blackbenzz's Kleemannized CLK55 then that would be close to the MB overall record. My goal is to get there before the end of this year. I will make every effort to break 10.5 before Christmas! Either that or break a brand new engine trying!

Awesome runs...............but I've got your DA beat here in Las Vegas. When I ran my 12.10@115.17 last week it was with a 4456DA!!!! I've only raced in a 2900-3000DA twice in several years out here.

Yes and the sky is the limit on this baby. I'm also looking for an S65 to mod. I'm hoping for 2 4 door sedans that will hold the top 2 spots on MB dragtimes. btw...I've got a spare block that I plan to bore, sleeve and stroke that will be the insurance policy in case I destroy my new but custom-reinforced E55 motor.

Are you putting the whole motor in or just the 55k bottom end?

It's the 55k bottom end but the original heads are ported with oversized titanium forged 1 pc valves from REV.

Are you still offering your longtubes at the same price? If I can get someone to buy my Kleemann mid-length headers for $1K, I'll buy yours. Do you think your improved trap was due to your long tubes or something else like race gas & tune, LSD or torque converter?

Damn, you have a ton of money in that car! Before you try running 25PSI on the charger take a look at how fast you can spin it before the excess heat from more boost actually causes you to lose power. I seriously doubt you can spin it that fast efficiently. I put a boost gauge on my car once and was only hitting 7.5PSI but it was kinda hot outside (You can definitely spin it alot higher than that). So you are still using Vadim for the build? Wow. Good luck. With all the plans you have I expect you to destroy all the records by a wide margin if the car ever runs properly. You are going to try and tune this on a factory ECU?

I'm not sure what it was, I guess it can be traced back tot he long tubes and the 168 pulley, However the 168 pulley didnt make much power over the last. We think its the stock cams holding it back. I need to install these E55 cams and see what happens.

Yeah, the new E55 motor cost me $13.6K just for the short block! Since this Autorotor is a 2.3litre twin-screw with the laminova intercooler, the boost can safely and efficiently reach 26psi according to Kenne Bell's website. I might just stop at 21-22psi and have nitrous push it the rest of the way. Vadim is bolting on the all the hardware he designed and tuning with PC's help. He did not build the engine, a dedicated MB/AMG engine specialist built my new motor.

13K? I could get that for much less, well about 9k. There is room to play on OEM parts. Also sticking with the Kleemann blower should save you some loot though. You wont have to buy all the 55k pulleys and water pump etc..I bought all that stuff and it adds up fast.

Tunning the car is going to be a challenge, I wish you the best and hope you smah my record. Infact, if this project gets done any your running nirtous.. It wont even be a challege. Not to mention I wont run nitrous so..

The C55's pitfall will be the size tire you can fit in the back. I dont think and AMG can Ice skate on the street like my car. it can be undrivable at times. My lady thinks I'm messing around, but really its the car and lack of rubber not so much my right foot.
