Driver side seat heater...
Just stopped working.
Worked Sat. night...no go on Sunday.
Does it have a separate fuse?

Does the light come on at the seat control switch? Sounds like it might have gone out, typical on these cars, but expensive to fix.

Mine did too. They ended up replacing the entire seat! Apparently the heater that runs through the seats is stitched in and can't be replaced on it's own. Fairly common for these seat heaters to go out. If/when you take in to the dealership, make sure they check the boxs under the seats as those go out regularly as well and can kill your battery.
Hope you have warranty!

The ceramic elements break or get broken by leaning or kneeling on the seat.

I actually had ripped mine apart to figure it out when it died. The light is dependant on the circuit completion. Typically there is a short somewhere and since the seat heater is woven into the seat fabric your done.

me too
replaced a whole seat bottom a winter and a half ago. Died two weeks ago after using a month, fricking frustrating. Curious though. no light not heat on drivers. Passenger side lights up and warms on the back but not the bottoms. I think ill go out the fluke and do some continuity tests.

Is it not possible to simply wire in an aftermarket heating element between the seat cushion and the seat cover? Does the construction of the OEM cushion/cover/heater preclude such a (seemingly) simple fix?

you can do that or replace the seat cover. The heater is integrated into the seat cover.
