wheel spacers, need help asap!

I ordered 18" brabus monoblock VI reps which needed 10mm wheel spacers.

I ordered h&r 10mm hubcentric wheel spacers for my car but just got told today that the rear set of spacers needed to be machined to fit with the rear hub? They said they couldn't do it at their site either so I cancelled the order.

Can anyone tell me what brand of wheel spacers they're using and where they bought it from? I assume the rear hub/brakes are the same on the c32 as they are on the c55?

THANKS A LOT GUYS!

thats what i thought but the dude at bimecc-usa (washington) said that there was a note saying that they needed to be machined...weird. I guess I'll just buy generic ones off of ebay then.

Thanks man!

There are two different types of H&R spacers, there is a set designed for the front and a set designed for the rear. www.allsprings.com has the complete listing which will tell you which part number is for front and which is for rear.

H&R does not need to be machined.

they seller is full of **** and probably are not able to locate them that's why he made up some excuse to not sell you the spacers.

you can buy'em from tirerack or any sponsors here and/or allsprings.com which is the actual distributor of H&R products in the USA run by Turner motorsport.

up to 5mm spacers............ no
10mm............. yes
Over 10mm get wobble bolts like the VW's do.

Offtopic but I have had so many Jetta and GTI owners ask to buy my BBS LMS off my FD
They claim they can fit with Wobble Bolts.
I guess its a common thing to do.

I ordered bolts from the company that sold me the wheels as well and I'm hoping those are extended bolts too. This is becoming a real PITA to get simple wheels...

Time to look for wobblybolts or just extended bolts? Does anyone have the same set up as I will? 18x8.5/18.x9.5 w/10mm spacers?

Sorry for being such a noob on wheel/spacers. Thanks for your guys' help. Appreciate it.

I thought wobble bolts were to allow using a different bolt circle wheel like running 114mm instead of 112mm. Length shouldn't have anything to do with it.

You will need to measure to be sure. Stick your stock bolt through your stock wheel and measure how far it sticks out (I believe it was about 25mm on mine) and then put the spacer on your new wheel and stick the bolt through and see if it matches. You don't want them too short or you risk your wheel coming off and you don't want them too long or the bolts will hit the parking brake in the rear (there is no interference in the front though).

you'll probably need longer bolts for the 18x 9.5. I'm runing 19 x 8.5 all around with 12mm and 15mm spacers and i was able to use the stock bolts.

whats a good amount left after it goes through the spacers? About 10mm or so is enough?

wobble bolts are for different bolt patterns.

adding spacer you'll need the same added length to the bolts accordingly.

That's why you need to measure how much the bolt sticks through on your stock wheels and then compare the measurement to the new wheels with the spacers. Depending on the wheel's offset the hub of the wheel may be thicker or thinner (thus changing how much of the bolt sticks out the other side).
