What are my options? I am grateful for your suggestions!

Anyone selling original C55 HK speakers please let me know.
Many thanks!

Hertz speakers. You cannot buy them over the internet. Only authorized dealers and they stand behind the product and they sound excellent.

Has anyone tried anything else in their cars like JL Audio speakers or Focal speakers?

JL and Focal are both good. Hertz are the equal or better than either depending on your listening taste. Focals are probably a little dry or analytical, Jl's are different in another way. It comes down to taste and dollars. Hertz makes sperates and coax's in 3 or 4 different levels to suit the car and or the pocketbook. Focals are going to be more in any category and I am not sure about JL price wise.
I know you wont be dissapointed in the Hertz.

I am in no way affiliated with either a store that sells them or the company itself. I work in the medical electronics field.

So are the speakers just plug and play? I thought I heard somewhere that MB uses fiber optic wiring instead of regular wires?

Fibre is used between electronic components such as the receiver, CD player and etc. for digital signals. Speaker connections are line level analog via copper from the amplifier(s).

It not plug and play but it isnt a big deal to install them, just a few connectors and wire splices.
