Fog Lights Hid Coversion Kit
I had a question for those of you who have changed their fogs to HID. What type of conversion kits did you guys get. I was inquiring about one and I was told the kit had to be a H3 conversion kit, Is this correct? What kit do you guys have and how much did you pay for it? If you can please post pics.THX!

This has been posted many times... but C32 uses 9006 for its foglight. Although there is a equivalent system for 900x to HBx, but I am 100% sure that 9006 is not H3. I think it's HB4 (correct me if I am wrong).
You have quite a few choices: Hanabi (8000K @ 400), CATz (4500K @ $500), Hella (12000k @ $460), Eagle Eyez (7000K @ $370)
Disregard the color difference as they are purly dependent on the coating of the capsule and not the light output. Color temperature @ 4500K gives you the best light output. Anything higher is just paying $ for nothing. Of the choices above, I'd pick Hanabi and Hella, one is a reputable Jpn corp making great HID stuff for quite a while; the other, well their ballast is one of the best. Don't be fooled by cheap Gook products, something like $120-$150... They are weak and not durable.

I just ordered my conversion kit from them for the 9006 bulb 5200k it was $379 including shipping and an 18 month warranty. Comes with Hella ballasts which are made in German (super high quality ballasts). I'll post pictures of my car after installed.

My understanding is that stock HIDs usually fall in the range of 4300K - 4500K in color temperature. The right number to be, since this is the range where most light outputs fall into. Some mis-leading seller on Ebay claims that their 7000+K kits are what's being used in MB, BM, and others, simply due to the similarity in color (blue-ish). However, I highly doubt that factory HID's will give up luments of light for some useless high K numbers.

Hey did any of you guys who installed the HIDs in their foglights have any problems?
When I installed mine, the bulb lights up for about 1 second and then turns off. I don't get any error messages for bulb out but it's similiar to the case where the car turns the light on and then off.
Did you have to do anything to trick the vehicle or am I doing something wrong?
Thanks
