Transmission Judder Problems

Hi All,

I have discovered today that my C32 had judder problems at 1500 in Feb 2009 rpm and it was fixed by replacing the Valeo Radiator, Torque converter and replacing the gearbox fluid.

I am concerned after reading the threads on this forum that the permanent fix is to replace the transmission, IC pump, Valeo radiator.

Therefore I have 2 questions:

1. Will my extended warranty cover any future problems with the transmission if the judder issue arises again ?

2. Or do the above listed items replaced fix the problem ?

Many thanks Razor from the UK

the previous owner described the problem as "whilst driving I noticed the car juddering between 30-40mph at around 1500-2000rpm"

No but I am concerned that it may come back hence why I would like to understand was the fix permanent by the previous owner as described in my original post and will it impact the extended MB warranty should it re-occur ?

What year is your C32?
I had this issue addressed about 70K miles ago. I can't say it will not came back for you. Hope it was done right on your car. But for me so far so good.
Can you pull a copy of the records from the dealer?

Year is 53 and a specialist replaced the following: replacing the Valeo Radiator, Torque converter and replacing the gearbox fluid.

Did you have to replace your transmission box ?

53? This must be a typo.
The transmission itself was not replaced.

i'm curious whether your car ever actually tested positive for glycol at some point. i've read that the usual symptoms of glycol contamination are that the car feels like it gets slammed into when gently leaving from a stop and the RPM approaches 1500.
