exhaust question

Post exhaust question

im new to amg and the whole car technical thing but i want to remove my resonator but other people tell me i will see a 10-15 hp loss. other people tell me it wont do anything. whats the real deal on this?

no power loss or gain. it just makes the exhaust sound louder and nicer. it is a "must" mod for anyone with a C32

okay thanks yeah everyone was telling me im stupid for wanting to do it because i lose power, how much does this usualy run to get done?

For the resonator delete alone youre looking at around $50

and like said above, no gain nor loss in power. Just sound

so i made an appointment to get my resonator deleted at my local exhaust shop before picking up my car at mercedes after it was done getting new brakes and asked the warranty guy if this would ruin the warranty, he unfortunatly said yes

the only warranty it could possibly void is your exhaust warranty. it isnt even emissions related (no O2 sensors over there) and has no effect on your cars performance. when i did it years ago, my MB dealership told me that if anything, it would just be the exhaust warranty, which i wasnt that concerned about. i'd do it anyway.

btw you get what you pay for.

I have a few small pin-***** sized holes on the welding job done on my crappy secondary removal job.

The guys installing my headers are going to drop the whole exhaust and reweld any spots that have holes.
