Ran in to some trouble with the 32.
Been searching around could not find anything related to my problem. I recently encounter car would not start, it will crank but it just wont turn over. After bring the car back to a indy Mercedes shop we replaced the CPS (crank position sensor) and In tank fuel pump. It's been over 1 year, i rarely drives the c32, last night i decided to take the car out for a spin to my surprise, the car is doing the same thing again. It will crank but will not start up, there is no engine light on.. at this point i dont know what could be the problem?? I tried reset the ECU, and un plugging the power, nothing help so far. Any thoughts or suggestions guys?

i would start with the battery. are you keeping a trickle charger on it? if you rarely drive it and the battery gets low it can cause havock with the electrical system on these cars

When my battery was low the C32 would just make a loud "click" real fast, and not even attempt to crank. I do agree though that the battery is best place to start...

Thanks guys for the quick responses. At this time the battery is in perfect charged order, the only thing i can think of is sometimes i have bad power connection from the fuel pump... err... soo hard to track down which wire is pitch or short it out.. i had this problem 1 year ago... but it went away just like that... now it is back again. I'll try to see if the filter is in need of some attention.

I got up to 110k miles before I changed the fuel filter on my 02' Sportcoupe. I guess it's possible to get clogged up, but my M111K had no fuel issues, and I noticed no difference in power after installing the new filter showing that it still flowed good. Granted the c32 demands more fuel flow...

Just do it again. You know it was not the fuel pump and it is now not the fuel pump. I bet you there will be NO FUEL on the rail when you crank. Just search your old pm, redo the trick, it should work.

This might not be an issue with the pump. I let me 350z sit for a month, or little longer, and when I went to fire her up it would crank, but not turn over. I had a total of at least a minute trying to turn it over with no luck. I decided there must not be any fuel in the line. I throttled the gas pedal while cranking, and fuel eventually made it up to the injectors. Just thought I would mention, because it's worth a try.

Sorry I couldn't respond sooner. I had this same problem a few weeks ago. My mechanic replaced the fuel pump relay and I haven't had a problem since. Cost me $13.50 (plus $82 for "diagnoses" of course).

I think the problem will come back. if it (the fuel pump wire) was loose or the fuel relay was dead, he shouldn't have seen the pressured fuel in the rail at the engine bay at all. Remember he said the fuel was there in the line but the car did not start. This logically shows the fuel system is ok. Got to be something else.
GL and hope that is the real fix.

Relay location gang, is at the trunk of the driver side. Take the fuse cover off you will see a role of relays, read the fuse chart which came with the car i believe it was the third one.
As far as i know i had this problem twice already, the steps i taken so far are, replacement of CPS- In tank fuel pump- and now the wire (fuel pump Brown color) problem which i was told is cost by the heat the car produces during driving
