Got into a fight with a couple BMWs over the past couple days...

So a couple days ago, pretty late at night, I'm driving down, minding my own business, when a brand new white M6 blows past me.

Interested in giving Lenneth a serious test, I decide to keep pace and catch up. The M6 accepts my challenge, and we get around 75. On the first take off, I am *actually* keeping the M6 in check. We're neck and neck up to about 130. Past 130, I actually start to *eeeedge* the M6 out in acceleration. We stopped at around 140.

M6 is obviously very aggravated, and wants to run again. Again we go to 75...and again, the results are the same. M6 grants me much earned respect, and we cruise home respectively.

That night, I was *very* proud of my car.

The next day, I get called out by a 335i...which really isn't a big deal. It wasn't modded, because the 335i found out very quickly it bit off more than it could chew. Lenneth pretty much walked away from the opposing vehicle without effort.

I was given props by the challenger, and we went on our way.

Interesting note: This probably doesn't mean much...but the BMW had a '76' emblem on the trunk that replaced the standard M6 emblem. It looked like a jersey font. I'm curious as to if it was some sports guy I challenged and defeated.

So, long story short, I'd say this is my best victory yet...unless you think the CL55 victory on the freeway was better.

...Yes, this is a repost, but I figure I let you guys know in particular as well as the in the general spot. :p

There's another thread on here with someone beating a new M5 so it doesn't seem unreasonable. Great job!

0-60 on an M6 is 4.5...I *highly* doubt it runs 11.9. On average, based on drag times, the car runs flat 13 to mid-12s, which would make the win not terribly unreasonable. That and I don't think the M6 was modded. It was likely stock. I *barely* won...but I still won.

Sunday, I have an arranged throw down with my buddy's '02 M5.

Those V10s aren't about et's they're about traps. 116-118 bone stock, from a roll on they're brutal...but even then whoever makes a 13sec pass in one needs his license taking away

Well, what I do need to do is take my car to a dyno to get her power output checked. I have had some work done in terms of maintenance. New intercooler, engine clean because the older intercooler was leaking into the manifold, obviously the tranny and radiator replacements, and new valve covers. It could help the general strength of the engine.

And it was real cold when we were racing, which would help for providing max potential power. Maybe it was because I was in the absolute best of environmental situations, I dunno.

its true that 0-60 times isn't a good indicated of 1/4 times. You can have a quicker 0-60 and still lose.

Its true stock m6's do not do 11's. But the c32 is lighter and has tons more tq. His story is similar to jurkel's story with a m6/m5.

But the m6 should win at the top end, i don't know what there speed limiter is set at though. He might of hit his speed limiter.

I remember you have a powerchip tune, so your speed limiter should be deactivated.

That is why people (at least me) are afraid of posting such story. I myself did kill a new M5 here on Highway 24 Lafayette area a year ago. Not really a kill, but the guy punched first and I was just right on his side in couple seconds and He let it go and did not look at me . Do not quote me on this

yes...i did pull on an M6.......only differences:

1) i stopped the race below 100.......i think 90 or 95
2) I have different mods (i'm more heavily modded)

yes....those V10s int he M5s/M6s are beasts on rolls AND beasts above 100...but we always have to remember the driver factor...was it an SMG or 6spd? If 6spd, was it a good driver or bad driver? there are always those factors....not to mention the C32s are definitely a bit lighter. I doubt he was in P400 mode. I really dont know who would willingly drop 90g on a car that gets 10 mpg and is so concerned about prices of gas after buying that car that he goes around driving in p400 mode lol. hitting the speed limiter is certainly another possibility as well.

i do think our torque advantage is a plus, but from digs (if we can hook up) and from low rolls. i think as we go faster, our tq advantage diminishes and the hp/aerodynamic/gearing determines the advantage

nice kills koru!

I am sorry, but there is no way that a C32 with a C3 pulley will outpace an M6 above 100mph. End of story.

I dont know about that AirFrcd, like someone else said their are many factors that play a roll in racing . You would think that an m6 would probabiliy pull a little harder above 100mph but hey its the streets. But to my knowledge I just think that the op was probabiliy the better driver in the situation despite being that close to the m6 at speeds above 130 to 140mph. Im sure the bmw driver was alittle upset finding that a c32 hung and slightly pulled on him. I am not saying that your statement is bs because I agree with you, but in some cases like I said weather, driver, and possibly the mods on his c32 gave the outcome of what had happened.

Sure you did, it's a wonder there's any market for the 65-series cars given how these C32s can get the job done.

Any roll-on "kill" by a C32 over an M5/M6 is a reflection of the driver not the respective vehicles. Kind of like if I out ran a 599.

They offered manual to appease the US market but they car is slower with it.

As regards torque, the Ms produce more though it's irrelevant anyway when rolling and people are changing gears.

terkel- my friend who just parted ways with his M5 ran it in p400 75% of the time. A combination of being too lazy to hit the M button and a conviction mileage was adversely affected were his reasons. Go figure.

I'm finding it difficult to type this thru all I've recently driven a friends STOCK 08 M5, if properly driven it will pull train lengths on your lightly modded C32 esp past 100mph (I know what fast cars can do, my latest DynoJet on SL600 was 633 rwhp)

stk M5 trap 117-119 mph

Your modded c32 will trap 105-109 @ best END OF STORY....

Im not sold that it was an M6 since it was debadged but even if it was there could be factors that might make the C32 have a little advantage such as altitude or the M not being in the proper mode. NA cars suffer up high where an FI car can still breath. Even then though it would still take quite a fast C32 to beat a M6 up top. At the end of the day though, all that matters is whatever car you ran, you won and potentially ruined some pro athletes day

obligatory vid or it didnt happen
