Question C32 exhaust leak And parts help suggestion....

I need some recommendation here....

I have exhaust leak in the middle joint and a small hole on my muffler right now. The tech suggested that i should buy a new muffler for a deeper sound before i go back to have it fix instead or welding the old muffler. which is optional he said. Do you guys know any good muffler that is the same or better than the one we already have stock? I not looking for any loud muffler or anything. I already have my resonator deleted and I'm really happy with the way it sounds.
Should i go for a new muffler or just keep the one i have and just seal the hole by welding it?

Do you guys know the part number for the gasket and screws in the middle joint? I was searching parts.com and couldn't find any pipe gasket for the c32.

GMC - Miata - Trek - P-Car
seal 140 492 02 45
bolt 129 990 03 10
nut 000 990 32 50

Renewed them as a matter of course during manifold replacement.

No advice to offer on a muffler – I like the stocker.

whatevever you do if tou get a new muffler get the stock one, i just did my quad setup and tried 3 different mufflers they were too loud, (droling ) after $3k spent i ended up using the stock muffler with custom piping pretty much all that money down the drain when i could have just kept the stock one from the get go

For the muffler, I'm very happy with my Supersprint dual tip muffler. Got it on sale for $600 and change. My original muffler developed a hole and a crack and had to be replaced.

Two seals, four bolts and four nuts.

Is that your undercar picture? Mine is a bit different.

That looks like a pretty piece of stainless in there.

To the op: were you able to change those bolts and seals easily? Is there anything I should know when I try to do it? All of a sudden my exhaust got ridiculously loud and I'm pretty sure it's those couplers.

Yeah, you pretty much need access to a lift to do it. My leak ended up being a cat, but I replaced all the hardware anyway.
