Sunroof question.

Today I went to open my sunroof and it wouldn't slide all the way open in one push, but It would however move a few inches at a time. I could get it fully opened by repeatedly pushing the button back. When closing the sunroof it would close all the way without incremental movement, but I had to keep the button slid forward. The odd thing is that it used to auto-open fine, but would only close incrementally. Has anyone had this issue before? If so, what was the fix? Thanks!

I tried pushing it all the way, but there was no second click. I even tried to pull the button down and up and nothing happened.

Was the battery disconnected? It sounds like the sunroof needs to be re-synced. You just tilt the roof up, close it but hold the button down for 10 seconds. Done. The auto open/close should work fine after that.

Yes it was. I tried what you said and it does work just like it used to. Thanks!!!

Now, the issue I had previously was the the sunroof wouldn't "auto-close". It stopped about 1/3 way and would open back up. Is there a trick to getting it to auto-close all the way?? Thanks for the help!

LUBRICATION is your friend here. I use CLP myself, but most any spray lube with a red tube will let you put it where you need it....
