I'm not the lawsuit kind, but I would like to contact MBZ USA and see what they say.. Let it be known.. This is an issue.. It there was a tree there rather than a curb, I might not be here.. so that scares me. These high powered AMG can over power the brakes very easy when you got the throttle going too. yikes...

Your build up of a n/a c55 was pretty unique since everyone either left their c55 stock or went kleeman. It inspired me for a while to build a fast n/a c55 as well. Following closely still on how you got 350 to the wheels!
For example, it's my understanding (although I've never done it) that you can say to your insurance agent "hey, I have a car worth $25k, but I have $35k worth of modifications invested into it. I want to insure that investment, here are the receipts, and I'd like for you to quote a policy for an agreed-upon value of $60k." They'll adjust the premiums accordingly, and establish the policy at that level.
If it was insured like any other C55, with the same premiums other C55 owners are paying, they're probably not going to budge mutch off of the vehicle's basic market value. Nationwide search of C55 looks like asking prices are averaging about $23k at present. KBB seems to suggest $17-20k for a private party value. Edmunds is a little higher, with their "True Market Value" at $23k.
Good luck and keep us posted on how it turns out.
How much do you think they will sell the car back to you for?

This could all be fruitless in the end but we will see.
