Can someone pls provide some help with instructions or link to instructions to install the Johnson CM30 IC pump?
I've read many threads about replacing a failed bosch factory IC pump which retards the Supercharger and recommended replacement to the Johnson CM30.
I have not seen any direct instructions how to do it. Any insight is much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

This should give you a good idea...

I remember someone saying the original bracket, and rubber coupler can be used on the CM30.

I'm familiar with this link
Thanks for your help. However... this thread talks about using a lighting pump. I've purchased a CM30 IC pump already. Does anyone have any directions to install this?

It's pretty much the same thing. Once you get in there everything will be obvious. I use the bracket that comes with the CM 30 and just bolt the one side down. With the retaining bolt it holds it more than tight enough. Connect the hoses to the inlet and outlet and then connect the power and ground wires. The easiest way IMO is to cut off the factory connector and splice the wires with butt connectors. The hardest part is getting off the MB hose clamps. They are a PITA. I replaced mine with regular screw type clamps.

All well described above. Installed my CM30 pump last weekend and it is straight forward as per the DIY. I used the original 'clamp' holding the stock pump by wrapping the CM30 pump (smaller diameter than stock) with some rubber mtrl to match the diameter of the stock pump.
I avoided to loose too much coolant by putting wine corks
in the hoses while getting all organized for the swap....
Good Luck & enjoy the rejuvenated car!

3-2-1 blastoff!
Just wanted to provide an update to this thread. I installed the CM30 IC pump last weekend without any problems. Kudos to those you provided input.
As far as the OE hose clips.. they were not a problem, just use a large channel lock and the should come right off.
The way I mounted the CM30 pump, removed the bracket that held the factory pump (3 screws). Aligned the CM30 clip and 2 drilled holes so everything aligned properly. Added nuts and bolts and walla!
Oh and one other thing... My car's wires wasn't the typical black (ground) and red. It was actually Brown (ground) and Red. Just an FYI in case some else has questions.
Now my car runs like it should. Thanks again everyone!!
