put it this way, if u can take a G8.
...two days ago, one of my friends with an Si boosted with the CR-V motor SUPER light at 2800LBS ran with me.
from stop to rollin.
i had one passenger with me, and TRUNK filled with luggage....and on 19s...
and i completely pulled away from him!
from 25mph roll though, he was close to me, but eventually pulled 2car lenghts on him

The bone stock G8's are decently fast but I do think a stock C32 Amg will take it not by much though.
Once you start modding either car G8 or C32 all bets are off cause you could make both in to beasts..

2017 GLE 350 Wifey, 2005 C55 AMG
in the end he is still driving a car that does not even exist anymore and looks like a bigger version of a Sunfire , bye bye Pontiac

Not true, Jake's car (White C32 now sold) had about every C32 mod available and was QUICKER than many stock E 55s. Modded E55s are a whole other story. Driver makes a big difference here too. Modded E55s are mostly in the 11s and I've yet to see a C32 get into that rarified air.

Jerry's Black C32 also ran in the low 12s (not quite as quick as Jake's BUT very close, and he'd outrun STOCK E55s at our drags in Morocco. ) A better comparison is a C32 v C55. The E55 is a whole different class of car and engine.

Respect your opinion.
I like having a car that alot of people dont have. As far as power plant it is interchangeable with the new Camaro and late model GTO. Not to mention the Holden in Australia. Different is better for me at least.

I wouldn't get cocky about the C55 moedigga. They are great cars, but there is no need to insult a classic american muscle brand that lost it's way amongst the trailer parks, and then finally, at the end (and too late), brought out two great cars - the G8 and the G8 GXP, which where almost universally lauded and appreciated across the majority of the enthusiast rags. So if you can see past your unreasonable brand snobbery, you will recognize a great car. Don't confuse the douchebag driving it with the car itself. I still like and appreciate the C55 despite the fact that you own one.
I can never understand why people resort to pigeonholing and stereotyping of individual car models - it doesn't make any sense. There are good and bad models of Mercedes, BMW, Infiniti, Lexus and so on. There is no need to act like your Mercedes keys were handed to you by Jesus himself. If you nonsensically hate American muscle so much, just go race yourself a 2011 Mustang GT and tell me how that worked out - a 4.9 liter that makes 425-435 HP at the crank N/A, and revs to 7.5k.
Cars are cars, man - just because you managed to save up 20k for your 05, it did not suddenly alter your genetics and transform you a superior breed of human that rides a magical steed.

03 g35 coupe...........02 c32 Sold
The g8 gxp is a pretty nice car and you do get a lot of bang for your buck in terms of performance. Its a pretty big car though, bigger then a c32. When i saw it in real life, it would be closer in size to a e55, so its sorta of a apples to oranges comparison with a compact vs a mid size.
Would I pay 40k for one, no. But i can respect it.
I wish our engines had as much aftermarket support as the LS motors.
