Kleeman mods help-OKC

Hey so I have a 06' C55 with just under 36k miles. The warranty is now dead so I have been looking into getting some mods.

Now I am not a huge car enthusiast. I have done a little reading on mods. I do not know which is better Kleeman-Renntech etc. I think one of the things I would like to do is an ECU upgrade. I only want to spend under a thousand a mod and I don't think I really want to spend more than $2,000 total. I would never do more than a couple of mods to it. I also just had a blowout and had to buy a new set of tires, being the Yokohama s.drives, in the stock size. I am not sure if that matters. But basically anyone have some suggestions on what mods to go with?

Also if anyone knows of a place in OKC that can do these things please let me know.

Thanks,

Cole

Yeah I actually just called the Kleemann place in Colorado. The guy I spoke with said the header-ECU package is pretty popular. I could do the $3,000 for that. I would just like a little more power and top speed.

Does anyone know the top speed you would get with the new ECU and headers?

I live in Shawnee. I was actually headed to OKC on Monday when the Tornado hit, annddd had a blowout. I was on I-40 and only a couple of miles from that Love's that was flattened. I ended up driving on my rim to a building and hanging out there for 30 minutes with those people. So now my car is parked and new tires and a new rim is ordered =(

I could have sworn I got an email from Aristocrat Motors in Kansas City saying they were now certified to do Kleemann upgrades, but I could be mistaken.

By reading your post, my honest opinion is that you don't mod your car. Mods for this car are very expensive, and if your limit is only $2k, you're not going to get very far. You also say you're not an enthusiast, so if you do some engine mods (headers, etc) and you get a CEL, and it costs another $xx to fix because you didn't know you'd get it, etc.....

That's my honest recommendation. Save your money, get yourself some nice tires, but that's about it. And while mods are awesome, they aren't absolutely necessary. I don't plan on any major mods for my car (even though I really want to), and that's coming from a person who's done many many mods on their previous car.....its in my blood...... But I know that this car, TO ME PERSONALLY, isn't worth modding; I love its factory awesomeness and I won't get the rate of return (monetarily and personally) from it.

since u'r not a huge car enthusiast, I think you should go cosmetic mods.
I say buy a cf lip / diffuser and save the rest for future investment (i.e.wheels and suspension.)
