hit the speed limit on the vegas trip and need more what can I do?

Hi guys!!

I've been to the Vegas few weeks ago and hit the speed limit.

It was around 160(not sure but around 157 or something) and hit 165 on the down slope road.

However, I felt that it can go more farther bcause it reached the limit w/o
any problem. Additionally, I felt there are more power remained in it when I hit the limit.

How can I delete the speed limit?

ECU is the only way?

If so, one shop in CA near LAX offered me the ECU program w/o chip but programing itself and it is going to cost $550.

The name of the shop is Eurorev.

do you think I can trust them???

Is there anyone who've done the ECU programming at the EUROREV?

Never heard of them before. But you can do it with either STAR programing or ECU tune. We can do it too...

Please let us know when you plan on hitting the 15 at 160 MPH so we all can stay off the freeway at that time. I was coming home Friday and some guy next to me lost control, went sideways in front of me and ended up skidding off the freeway and this was all at a whopping 60-65 MPH. Luckily no one was else was hit or injured. Kindly take the 160 MPH speeds to the track or at least don't boast about them here.

Realistically, I think its pretty stupid to dish out $550 to remove a speed limit. Your almost never going to go that fast

I just wanted to see what is the real limit. But for sure this car has more than the limit.
If you do you will feel what im talking about. Its like saying im still hungry.
Even when you are driving on the verge of the limit.

This car allow me to stay under control. The ride was smooth and handling was very stable.

Have you no self control?
Several here have attained Vmax - in an appropriate closed course setting.
Don’t particularly care if you crash and burn; causing negligent homicide gets you plenty of time in the big house.

Sheer idiocy from vince01 who’s “been to the Vegas few weeks ago.”

I hope the police beat your *** when they yank you out of the car with their guns drawn... What the f@#k is wrong with you???!!

You want to find the limit? Get a piece of paper and a pencil. factor in your highest gear, your final drive ratio, the HP/torque you making, and your coefficient of drag. No people will get hurt this way (you may get a piercing migraine headache though once you start the math. As your brain doesnt appear to be used much).

Don't be an idiot. If you just want to see how fast these cars will go, save your money and many lives by popping on youtube, searching for "c32" or "C55" and watch what others did to their cars when they removed the limiter.

By the way, I believe the fastest I've seen was some guy got to 177.

There. Now you know and you still have $550 in your pocket and you live to tell others how fast your car could go.

edit: here you go. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rpertQOW324
It converts to 179.58 mph in a C32. Done on an Autobahn.

Or just put the damned thing on a Dyno.

I'm not one to judge, hell, I've gonna much faster than that on a public road, but to my defense, we CLOSED down the road. I had an honest to goodness fire truck hanging out half way at the 1.5 mile stick. If any crashing were to take place, it would have been just I and no others that could have been hurt.

Just have eurocharged do it, I got got my car to 150 and it did not feel like I was in control. There was so much wind pushing on the car I felt if I made a wrong move my car would fly out of control. This may not be true, but I did not want to go any faster than that!

Oh, you mean that stretch of pavement covered with thousands of minivans, tour buses and blue-hairs?

Come on people. Let's not condone stupidity. Find a track and play there. I don't want the reputation of dork or baby-killer by association with the doofus' acting irresponsibly.

It looks as if you guys have never been to the I-15.

It was night time and there were no car at all. There was only me, my friend, and my car.

I think I'd ran about 5 mins alone on the highway, never seen any car ahead and behind me.

Additionally, it was a straight lane.

I know that it is dangerous and the thing that better not to do.

However, I had the condition.

Sorry for those who listen my words as if I'm boasting myself.

Yet, I usually drive around 60-70 mph on freeway.

But thank you to all who take care of the possible damage or accident of my own.

I like this forum.

He is correct about that stretch of the 15. I have driven it many times, and there are plenty of occasions where you are the only car for miles. If you have a burning desire to stretch your car's legs, the LA-Vegas route is one of the better ones.

Not sure if I would want to be doing 160 at night on an unlit highway, however. One coyote decides he want to cross the highway, and you are going to have a face full of fur and bones (actually, you will have neither face nor head left if Wiley ends up hitting your driver's-side windshield). This is Darwin's way of weeding out reckless drivers and careless coyotes.

As a side note: Sure seems like there are alot of "holier-than-thous" on this forum. Furthermore, given the performance level of the car that we have all chosen, I would guess that most of you have hit the triple digits on a public (U.S.) highway before. At the very least, you have exceeded the speed limit by a significant sum at least once. Just my .02.

155 is the limit i guess and officially reported. However practically it can go more than the limit if you are driving on the down slope road. But really dont suggest you or anyone to try this bcause it is very dangerous if you run on a down hill w/ that high speed.
