Nice treat headed to the shop tomorrow
... Well, that came out of a C55 that was turned into a full on race car. The engine was pulled from this C55 and shipped off to RENNtech for a full motor build. NA power being king for road racing the motor was build with that in mind. Compression ratio was bumped to 13.1. Other than that I'm bot sure what else went into this motor...Strangle the car was sold. The new owner felt a full on 13.1CR motor hand built by RENNtech wouldn't cut it in the local drift scene. So that motor was pulled and a 2JZ Supra motor was going to be installed... I'm a fan of anything is possible, but it was like trying to fit a square into a circle. The 2JZ is just way to long to be crammed into a C55 even with the W209 front clip.
From what I hear the car sat in a back yard for some time. I can only imagine the grass and weeds growing around it... In another turn of events the old owner bought the car back. The motor that RENNtech built was out and then put back in. So it looks like this car is going to have another shot at life.
The car is headed to Dyno-Comp tomorrow, for buttoning up, retuning and long tube headers. We get alot of exciting AMG builds, but nothing really like this, IMO. Maybe its because I'm a softy for a C55. However you just dont see a 55 motor pushing 13.1 CR, purpose built to road race.
When the car arrives tomorrow (Wednesday) I will take some pics of a c55 race car. To me, even the idea of this car is cool.

If DC is to get this thing road worthy its going to take some major TLC along with some time. To be honest with you the car sounded like a stock C55 even when revved.
Misc. items are just hanging around and it looks like it doesn't even have windows
This is going to be a bad *** car when done though
Actually he had selected patches throughout the inside of the car in suede and it really set it off interior wise. It gets to much when the whole doorpanel and roof lining get suede though IMO ...
