my fills from about 15 miles to go on the computer run between $38 and $42 anywhere between 2.68 on the low end and 2.78 on the high end and usually takes about 14.5 gallons. Only use Top Tier rated fuel (Chevron, Exxon, Sunoco...) 91 octane or better, usually can only find 93.

also with Urban cycle driving expect about 18 mpg.
I drive 100 miles per day a mix of both interstate and major highway with stoplights and varying speeds.
I am getting about 300 miles out a a tank right now.

you little guys () have it easy. My S55 fill-ups are usually over $50, around 18 gal (19 if I am lame/lazy and go into the reserve), and my overall average is barely 16 mpg (80% light-medium rush highway miles). I fill up almost exclusively at ExxonMobil (my in-laws retired after a combined 55 years there). Current prices near me range from $2.81 to $3.05 , and that's a bargain considering it's been near $4 within recent memory.

I can burn 10 miles worth of gas in about 500 feet, so I can't let mine get that low

I wouldn't recommend running that low since pumps cool themselves with the gas in the tank and you suck up the crud that settles out.

Hmmmmm....... premium in my neck of the woods is around $3.29/gal (I only run chevron /w techron) so my fill up is around $48 and that is with my 2.1 gal reserve still full. I get about 19-20 MPG with mixed driving (in town/freeway), all of it SPIRITED . I got 380 miles on a tank 1 time but it was ALL freeway driving like a grandma (NO FUN). Then again I have the N/A 4.3 liter V8 so I am definitely smaller than the 5.4 BUT you should of known what you were getting into when you bought the S55 so you can't complain

P.S. at the peak of the GASOLINE RAPING we saw prices around $4.30/gal but at the time I didn't have my AMG so I wasn't AS affected as I currently am.

On empty, expect ~16 gallons

Depending on your driving habits expect 15-19mpg for normal city/highway driving

Finally.. I personally only fill up at Shell & Chevron (i have used 76/mobil, but only in emergencys) PREMIUM

Cool

60 bucks to fill up my little sl55, living in Bakersfield, Ca with one of the highest deposits for oil in the U.S. and still one of the highest places for gas in the nation. Go figure?
