I have had the 4 front 4 rear on a 03 clk55 and a 06 c55.
I wondered if having 4 piston front and rear setup was a problem with 4 piston rear coming from CLK55/63 or SLK55. I am assuming it didn't pose an issue. The rear 2 piston on the C55 is an eye sore.
Most big break upgrades are not worth it if you are not tracking the car. The only thing bigger breaks are going to do on our cars is prevent fade. If you can stomp the pedal and the tires slide the the breaks are sufficient. They also ad more un-sprung weight. The best breaking upgrade you can do is tires.

AMG did a comparison of their rotors last year on their YouTube channel. See 2:11 for brake disc comparison. I suspect that the larger (360 mm), upgraded front brake discs are lighter than the smaller (345 mm), stock ones.
(6/4) & (8/4) brakes are the one of the best performance PK upgrade that "AMG/Brembo" provides,,
4/2 brakes looks sooooo boring, and performed weak, compared to (6/4)..!!,
really not worth it to see it on AMG models..,
(6/4) are great, and fear enough for "C32/C55", and absolutely deserves to give it a shot,,
i'v done (8/6) on my 06 "SLK55", love it more, Thanks GOD..

Daaaaaaaaang that is crazy crazy awesome! Did you have to upgrade your braking system as far as bigger brake lines, master cylinder, brake booster, ect?
ok so here is where i am at....i currently have a complete set off a w220 s600, 8 pot front and 4 pot rear. tried fitting them and the rotors were a problem. then i managed to find clk63 2 piece front rotors. will that be enough to finish up that set to go on a w202?
then i managed to get a complete set of E55k calipers and rotors. to the eye it seems much more shallow and will fit the front. what challenges will i face with these 2 setups?
If you need direct bolt-on for "W202", have to get complete brakes from "W209 CLK55/CLK63 or R171 SLK55",,
Fronts & Rears (8/4) calipers will fit, but needs differ Rotors offset..!

ok so let's put you in the picture....I currently own 5 x W202. 1 of those has the complete clk63 setup on, another had the complete slk55 setup on and the 3rd has the c32/55 setup. That leaves 2 with stock brakes and big wheels which look fairly drab. So I've had the w220 setup stored away for about 9 years and decided to try and fit them now. As I was doing that I realised the issue with the front rotors so I got 2 of the clk63 2 piece rotors which will bolt straight up. What i need to know what modification will be required in order for e55 setup to be used
03-06 "55K" 1-piece Front Rotors & 08-10 "CLK63" Front 2-piece Rotors won't fit into "W202",
cause they got high offset, and they will hit the ball joints..!!
A) Regular 03-06 1-piece "55K" Front Rotors:-
(360x36), with (64.5mm) height/offset.
B) 2-piece 07 "CLK63" Front Rotors:-
(360x32), with (49.5mm) height/offset.
C) 2-piece 08-10 "CLK63" Front Rotors:-
(360x36), with (64.5mm) height/offset.

The W220 test fit revealed just that, it was hitting the ball joint because of the high offset, however if you physically look at the E55k single piece rotor compared to the W220 single piece rotor there is a massive difference. So to the eye it appears that the E55k rotors will work. the 2 CLK63 2 piece rotors i have will definitely work on the W202 as a substitute for the front of the W220 set i have. i will test fit them before the weekend and give feedback. what challenges do the rear setups pose with respect to the brake linings on the W220 into W202 and W211 E55k into W202? previously i managed to utilise the W202 rear brake linings into the SLK55 and CLK63 setup.

So, I want to make sure I have it right man, the e55 8pot and 4pot calipers going on a 2005 c55 because of thicknesses and offset the front rotors need to be the 06 clk63 front rotor (360mm) and the rear can be the slk55 rear (330mm) rotor and the bolt hole in the front needs to be widened to used the factory bolt correct?

do you want to install "E55K" 8-pot calipers with 1-piece or 2-piece Rotors..??
