JBSPEED CF trunk spoiler review

6/10

1) Fitment is off. With 3m double sided tape, I would say about 60% of the spoiler contacts the rear window. Its still stuck there pretty well but I will have to take it off and double up on the 3m tape on some areas.

2) Finger prints on the epoxy on the bottom. Not that you can see it when its installed but makes it look like a very sloppy job.

3) The "cut out" was slightly crooked and a part of the cf was stretched out.

Bottom line: You get what you pay for.

I bought a CF rear lip spoiler from suvneer and it was nearly perfect. Fitment was about as good as factory and CF looked great. If you do decide to buy any thing else, I would definitely recommend buying from suvneer.

I have a front lip spoiler from suvneer and it was great.

I figured that the roof spoilers came from the same factory overseas...guess not?

I'm assuming you meant roof spoiler and not trunk spoiler. I bought the JBSPEED trunk spoiler. I have similar fitment issues on my trunk spoiler. The bottom portion of the spoiler doesn't even contact the trunk at all, just contacts a bit on the left and right side. The top of the spoiler does make contact, but the right corner lifts up a bit and the tape looks like it's going to eventually peel. Like you said with the roof spoiler, for the trunk spoiler, I also have to add more layers of tape to force it to make contact. CF quality seemed ok, epoxy was a bit wavy, but fitment to me should have been better for the price I paid. It's not exactly super cheap bottom basement stuff. I expected decent quality. I'm not sure if I want to keep this peice, it will require some work to make it fit properly so it won't fly off. That's my major concern.

Oops. Yeah. Roof spoiler. The epoxy does look a little wavy too and I don't know if thats fixable other than by wet sanding it which is what I don't want to do. I would like to try another vendor but I have a feeling they all come from the same factory out in taiwan or wherever.

The funny thing is my front lip spoiler was pretty decent, the fitment was great and the epoxy wasn't wavy at all. No finger prints in the epoxy either lol.

I bought a CF roof spoiler from JB Speed for my C63
Fitment no good along line of rear window. Plus cf pattern did not extend to thick rear upright portion of spoiler which would be obvious to anyone loooking at the installed product from the rear. Did not install it
got one from suvnerr..Very happy with it
