Johnson CM30 Pump gone BAD!
So, after about a month of trouble-shooting, code searching, and sleepless nights....
I found the problem today!
Finally got a code for it, and my IC pump needs to be replaced. I put the Johnson CM30 pump on roughly 25k miles ago, and its done?
Has this happened to anyone else? I thought the Johnson was supposed to be Bigger and Better than stock?

It's still a mechnical part and there's no given set time when something will fail. You have to understand that everything is still man made, and nothing is perfect. I was in the saltwater aquarium business for a long time, and I have a lot of experience with marine pumps (which is what the Johnson pump is). Reguardless of brand names and how well built they were, I still get a crap load of pumps that fail prematurely. Does Johnson offer any warranty on their pumps? I've had my CM30 in my car for about a month now.

When you take it off, take the pump apart and see if there is something like dirt or other particles that could have taken the pump out. I am about to replace my stocker with the CM30 pretty soon.

replaced a ton of pumps at the shop and have seen 1 or 2 johnsons fail. But, both times when we took the pump apart there were contaminates there. One of the pumps has the fins missing, and hence sounded like it was working, but not moving any fluid.

thanks for the advice guys....As soon as I get some time I will be taking it off to see whats the deal with it and replacing it with another Johnson and a bigger heat exchanger...
I am looking at the PLM Heat Exchanger or the Eurocharged one....Decent price difference, but any other real differences?

I have pics of the PLM heat exchanger I installed. I doubt you can go wrong with either one when you compare it to the stock one.
