hooleyboy’s C55 downstream pipes were beautifully fabricated.
Barked through nicely at WOT, too:

not really "true dual" if there is a x-pipe.

mine is true dual. no joins at all.

Glad you went with an x pipe, I've got an x pipe on mine(SLK55) and I truly adore the sound when I added the Kleemann rear catalytics. When I added the headers the sound changed, the pre header sound was a bit muted compared to the headers. The car will sound extermely loud which is fine by me.

I had an x-pipe, then got a true dual, theres a better sound with the true dual and the car kicks faster with higher rpms!

I am jealous. I want to do something like that with mine! I was thinking I would end up doing the resonator and high flow secondaries, but if I am going to do that, I would probably be better off just doing it all at once.

I hope no one minds me using these pictures as a guide for the shop that ends up doing mine. Hopefully they do as good of a job! Do you have a sound clip on youtube yet?

I have a question to those who have done this (like myself), what did you do about the right side exhaust pipe, cause there is on one hanger for the left pipe?

I cant remember, its been to so long. I want to say we extended the hanger and let it attach to the other pipe as well.

You are sacrificing torque without the xpipe. There are numerous dynotest in Hot Rod and various other magazines that prove the worth of the x pipe.
