Wheel Adapters

I am looking for some advice on wheel adapters and have not really seen any on here.

I would like to expand my selection of wheels to include different bolt patters.

I like the Volk Racing TE37 wheels or the ones here http://www.turnermotorsport.com/html..._ID=LTW5-WHEEL

Both wheels are going to be really lightweight. Problem is they don't make them for the MB bolt pattern.

http://hrsprings.com/scripts/appguid...0|%20C55%20AMG

They do make wheel adapters though! Hooray for wheel adapters.

I am curious if anyone else has looked into these. Let the feedback begin!

i havent any personal experience with wheel adapters, but everyone i talk to say its not safe. It would probably easier if you just buy the volk te37's for a audi or vw and increase the hub bore from 57.1 to the mb 66.5 and use the stock bolt pattern.

I believe thats what mugenx did. There on his car if you want to see what they look like.

If you want good wheel adapters made exactly to your specs, send an email to sales@fifteen52.us and ask for Chris. They can do them to any specs you want.

I've got adapters for my passat, and you shouldn't worry about strength. These things are used on everything, and can take some punishment. Ask the guys at fifteen52 for info on strength/safety, they know their stuff. Also, if you search for adapter safety on any car forum, there are plenty of threads, and you will see the people who say they aren't safe generally have basically no experience or contact with adapters, and base their comments on very little. ( a lot like the wobble bolt issues)

I think that if its not done right, there is more room for problems. It seems pretty straightforward though. Bolt on the wheel adapters, torque properly, bolt on the wheels and torque properly.

I would imagine that they have to be pretty good because if they were that bad, there wouldn't be a market for them. Maybe in racing applications, they might not be as good, but for everyday driving, I don't foresee any problems.

Actually, I know of these being used for drag racing applications

Good luck! Those things are tough to come by. As much as I hate to say it, because they are reps, you should check out Rota Grids. Easier to come by, and the offsets/widths should be more friendly to our cars

By the time you add up the weight and the cost of the wheel adapters, you are better off to buy the TSW Hokenheim's that weigh 24lbs for the 18x9.5. Or Fiske could custom fab some rims as well.

TSW Hokenheim's are nowhere near look wise the same as the Volk's. If you are trying to suggest a light wheel for a good price, without a doubt the Enkei RPF-1 is the wheel to go with. Much better quality than TSW's.. Now Fikse wheels are VERY expensive. Finding a used set of TE37's, and a set of adapters for 350ish, even with weight considered (they don't weight much at all), you are still way under a set of Fikse wheels.

If you are still interested I can hook it up with BMW fitment mint condition 19" Gold Volk TE 37's with new Hankook V12's on them.

PM me if you are interested sir.
