My C32 is worth $8800
Bored on a nice day so the wife and I stopped by to test drive a 2007 BMW 335i. Nice car. It was slower than my AMG and bland as hell but I like the mod potential and it was pretty well priced. When I asked him to look up my car on Manheim, he said he could give me $8800 (2002 C32, 72K miles, avg condition). I understand that's the auction price and not retail, but it almost made me laugh. Needless to say we will not be trading it in. I do wish I had access to that auction, though; I'd guess E55Ks are going for around $20K?

yah. it's stupid what these cars are worth. i'm gonna keep it throughout medical school and residency (provided it still runs). hopefully, when all is said in done, i'll keep it as a spare, or turn it into a project car. it is just really not worth selling at this point. you lose too much.

theres a member on here selling a e55 with a SH*T load of mods in amazing condition ( insane engine mods, wheels that cost like 4 grand, a 2 grand system, e63 steering wheel with pad shift, and much much much more with 37k miles on it for 33k.... these cars lose value unbelievably fast, and my man, the value DROPS HARD.

Always try to do a private sale before considering any dealerships offer. You will get a few extra thousand. If you have modifications you can partially add those up to your final private party sale price as well. I know most people say they don't want to buy a modified car. If you consider possibly getting a C32 with many modifications/maintenance exceeding $10,000 for maybe $5,000 more though it isn't a bad deal, and has a good chance of selling.

Firstly...335is are NOT bland
Secondly...my co-worker sold his 2003 E55K last year to CarMax for less than $23K and it had 60K miles, it had every option from Pano roof to Distronic.

114k miles and an AMG is beat to @$%&, the repairs on those cars are just ridiculous. I would never buy an AMG with more than 60k miles.

Really? My friend has 02' same color and all with 140k, and it's running great. Any car is going to need some maintenance at high mileage. Granted Mercedes parts cost more, and if you don't do service yourself the price is ridiculous. The M112K is a very reliable build minus certain issues that it's known to have.

These cars are solid if maintained well and driven regularly, I wouldn't hesitate to buy one with 140K if everything checks out. But then for a measly $6,500? I would drive it until it's dead beyond repair.
