I'm not bitter in the least, you come across as little more than a troll. BTW, posting the ROLF after everything you post isn't accurate, you're the only one laughing.

ROLF means *I* am laughing at something, and in this case it's *you*
is that accurate enough for you?

agreed and agreed
it's definitely not fraud (unless he lied to his ins. co., which does not seem to be the case)
and drifting is just a slow way around a track while ruining a set of tires.

my car is pretty much totaled, nthe right rear a arm ripped right out of the frame and the rear say bar is bent, damper blew and the rim is cracked, the whole lip of it. idk even know what to say, this feels unreal like nothing i have ever experianced. i have never felt so much passion for something as much as my baby. until insureance sees it tomorrow i wont know for sure, but everyone says she will be totaled. you all have been very helpfull and great advice givers and i thank all of you for that.

Unless you are
Ken Block http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rs-jAImScms
then it is going fast around a track while ruining a set of tires
Shi* happens the hubris of youth at least the OP is safe and healthy and most likely they won't total it if no body damage
I will keep my fingers crossed for him
testknight civics don't drift they are front wheel drive ricers

If you had the I.Q. of an oil filter you would be able to see why others mentioned fraud, but you're so stupid you don't get it. Your original complaint was you didn't want insurance to pay out for a driver screw up because that would make your rates go up. We mentioned fraud because it too is an insurance pay out that will make rates go up.

I see this thread is going down a wrong turn...a different viewpoint:
I can see that the OP is sorry about what he did, and realizes it was stupid. He will pay for that mistake and he will learn from it. (I hope) To the OP, I am sorry for your loss, but as you said it is your fault.
However, Chazz and I am amused do have some very good points. When you do these things (stupid stuff) you know you are taking the risk, and be prepared to pay for whatever happens. Sure, his insurance may cover it but that will pass down costs not only to him, but to others as well. (I don't know about you, but I do not want to foot a bill for someones negligence) These types of "incidents" along with fraud, texting, drunk driving, etc, all drive up insurance costs for all. It's not about being perfect, it's about learning and responsibility.
My stupid thing, I did back years ago, and I did not file on my insurance. It was my fault, I turned my car into a uboat, and me being the commander, I took the responsibility and paid for it out of pocket. I think that was I am amused's point, but he was a little brash about it.

glad you are okay man, after all its just metal and it can be replaced, i hit the curb once on my C280 when i was 17 cuz i wanted to do donuts in snow, but whats the point of having performance cars and driving them like grandpas, dont let it bother you! i try to drift(more kick the tail out a bit) my cars almost around every corner when there is no people around and it seems safe! And don't let the d*ck get to you with his comment, you pay for your insurance and its your car you destroyed so he should stfu and mind his own biz!!!!!

OP - glad you are alright. There are plenty of cars out there, I am sure you will find another great one.

Insurance pays for negligent drivers all the time. He pays for the service he can use it how he sees fit and there is no stopping it so why complain about it? If he continues to do it his insurance will cancel him if they want. Anyways I thought you have to have an e brake to drift?

Lets not get wrapped around the axle on this one guys, there's more important matters to address like how we can make a C55 beat a C32??

sorry, but that's false. you can definitely drift a FF car if you know what you are doing like these guys. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kOASjjpRnXk
and just for the record...drifting and power sliding is completely different.
