I wish you had this for sale in july. i bought my 02 c32 for $10,700 with 87,000 miles. I wouldnt pay 14k for the car, but obviously thats the asking price and no one really ever gets what they ask for. If i were to shoot you an offer, it would be in the 12k range. the prices you looked up from NADA are "trade-in values" not "private seller value". trade in values are always about 2-3k more because theyre making money form you by selling yo another car.

Trade in values are always below what you could get from a private party. The dealer low ***** you given that either they have to 'recondition' the car for resale, or just don't want the risk of losing money when they wholesale it.

+1, the dealer buys the car as cheap as possibly, marks it up and sells it to the unsuspecting!! (or after they cant sell it, wholesales it out or it goes to auction)
I don't think the ask with the miles on this car is that bad?? And its certainly NOT a rip-off as intimated above^^^.

Heck no- If I were still in the market and after a C32 this looks like a great car. Besides, the 3.2K is one of the best engines AMG ever made, why would I replace it with a 55? This car is perfect just the way it is.
Now my new C43 I am driving back to Dallas from Chino Cali this weekend, it could use a 55 swap...
All in due time.

You guys misunderstood me. I meant that the trade-in value on the sites such as NADA or KBB, is always listed as MORE than the private seller value, since the original poster listed the prices he got from one of those websites.
Congrats on the sale anyways. Great christmas present.
