New to Forum - This is a great forum Thx
I've been reading this forum for months as I was trying to get info on C32 & C55. I have a 97 C230 W202 and decided after 245,000 miles it was time to upgrade. Based on all of the great information I saw here as well as research from other resources and my own personal preferences, I bought a C55 this past week. What an amazing car. I bought it as my car but I don't know if I am going to keep my wife out of it. I've been looking for about three weeks and I got home from a business trip to China on Sunday, found the car on Monday, negotiated the deal and flew 500 miles to pick it up and drive it home, getting home Tuesday morning. Now I'm back in China for a week and she gets to enjoy it. Bummer.
Anyway wanted to say this is a great resource.

Thanks for the warm welcome. I'm never afraid to ask questions, the only dumb question is the one that isn't asked. Here is a pic from when i picked it up and unfortunately I was only home for a few days before leaving again so this is the only pic I have.
Speaking of questions: Not sure what color they call this. I think its granite gray or pewter.

Great color. I believe it is called Obsidian Blue, but I'm not 100% on that. I noticed that car when it came up for sale. I haven't seen any other obsidian blue 55's out there. Welcome to the board 4 months later...

Thanks for the reply moosejaw and sorry if I have committed a message board faux pas by reviving an old thread. I have trouble telling colors apart. Where can I find a list of MB colors for 2006?
