Brake sensor question

I am about to change my rotors and pads this saturday(i have the original rotors and pads are all worn). I dont have the sensors in my pads as they were removed and thrown away last time the pads were changed. My question is, how many sensors would I need for the pads on a c32? I did some research and at some sources it said only 2 some all 4 so... The reason I am replacing all pads and front rotors is to get rid of a buzzing noise at 40mph and low speed shaking. Also, I have the brake lining wear warning on my dash that I want to get rid of. Thanks for all replies.

you can get away with 0,1,2,3,4 but I would go with 4. your pads won't all wear exactly the same. so what if the one that is wearing fastest doesn't have a sensor.... They aren't that expensive.

I can live with 0. The sensors are not very necessary as you can see the wear of your pads anyways, I just want the "brake lining wear" warning off my dash. If I put only the front two sensors, will the warning go away, or I would have to do all 4?

Any of the cars I've seen with sensors only has one sensor on the front and one sensor on the rear.

Mercedes has played with different amounts of sensors on all wheels across different models some have 4 in the rear and front. Kuzni you do have sensors. You need to replace all the missing sensors to remove the malfunction. By Just pulling a vin from another 2002 it looks like you will have 2 in the front and 1 in the rear.

Haven't looked at the C55 yet, but every other benz I have owned, starting with my '87 300D had a sensor on each pad. They way they work is they use the rotor to close the circuit, so if you take them off the light will go out.

So.... Nobody knows for sure how many the C32 has and their location? By location, I mean if there is less than 4 then on which wheels?

Thank you for the part number splinter. The cheapest I found the sensors were $2.30 each without shipping. This is from Rockauto.com
