Eurocharged performAnce?
So I'm looking into tuning my c32. And I'm pretty new to the whole mod thing.
Currently eurochrged performance is having a sale on a 185mm pulley and a tune for 1000$. It is supposed gain 45whp and 55wtrq.
Anybody have an opinion or exPerience with this? I don't want to drop 1000$ on some barely noticeable gains.

The Eurocharged 185MM with tune @ $1000 is a very good deal. I payed $1200 when I got mine. Good company to work with. 45whp/55wtq is a huge difference in performance.

Good Christmas present to myself!!! Thanks for the input. Is there a negative side to the pulley and tune? And they claim it will increase fuel economy. Is that true?

Increase fuel economy? Maybe if you never boost. I average 13-15MPG city now that it's colder out. Only negative is increased wear all other belt drive components such as alternator, power steering, etc... You're not just overdriving the supercharger with a larger crank.

The BIG negative is the "overdriving" of the other components, BUT except for the the pulley bearings, particularly on the idler, the Needswings PSK will resolve that issue. All of the fastest SRT-6 and C32 have run either the 185 crank or 178 crank and Code 3 SC pulley.

Yeah. I didn't buy the car for fuel economy! I have always been extremely skeptical over mpg gains on a performance tune. Thanks for mentioning the psk from needswings. That's a must buy now. So far it seems ec has the best bang for my buck. Anything else I should know about a tune and pulley??

BUT you're also going to need the TUNE and the Needswings PSK if you do this!!!
How many miles does your C32 have?

Big difference, Price and Availability!!! EC has the 185 Pulley and the TUNE readily available!! and $1000 is a great price for this (plus $ 200 for the PSK)
I think the Evosport price for this same set-up is well over 2K ................
and does Renntech even make products for the C32 anymore??? I haven't seen any in years?? I do know they cater to the C63 now.

Another problem are the tires. You are going to use them up a lot quicker.![naughty](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/naughty.gif)
On a serious side, consider a 181mm pulley. You overdrive your components somewhat less and still get plenty of performance.

Make sure you get Heat Exchanger when upgrading your crank pulley. Oh and NW PSK is also a must with 185 to prevent premature idler pulley failure. I just did all of my upgrades over the summer and completely loving it!

185 is a big pulley. do more research. look at the srt-6 section on crossfireforum. there are many fueling issues associated with running big crank pulleys, ie: 181 or 185. took a good while for rob at needswings and ithers to work it out. to properly run this setup your looking at adj fuel regulator bigger fuel pump possibly diff injectors. it can be done and the results are a car that can produce boost at 25lb levels. this is not a plug and play mod and be aware of all the associated costs by doing this.
im not saying this is a bad way to go but rather theres more needed to protect an expensive engine and get the most out of it than meets the eye

You don't need any fuel update, just get Jerry tune, my AFR is 11 all the rpm with stock fuel system and 115k miles on them, get the latest maps from Jerry and you will watch your tires spin all the way.
This is a video of my car and watch the spin all the way up to top of third gear:

this is a lunch from 2nd gear not first gear.

I'd say a good and safe upgrade with that mileage is probably some cooling, tune and a 178. If you do a 181 or 185, you're boost issues may also cause intercooler leaks which can be pretty common with modded C32s. Them you also have the whole bearings issues etc. For a well maintained car, a pulley and tune should not be an issue.
